Default ANA FESTA Store - Tokyo Haneda

I'm in Tokyo at the moment so I called in at the ANA Festa Shop at Tokyo Haneda Airport. Why wait to see them on eBay when you can see them below?!! Interesting that they were heavily promoting the A320 (not in terms of price but they had a few of them in 1/100th). No MRJ models on display or Q400s. Prices were (of course) as high as expected.

Thanks for sharing those pics. It must be memorable to visit a shop such as that. Those large scale ANA models are so impressive. That YS11 is unusual. Do you know what scale it iis? I'm presuming that its not a Pacmin.

Hopefully you purchased one or more models.

Safe travels.

Wow, the Marine Jumbo is $1900. When I was in Japan last year another aviation store had it for $3500!

The Pacmin Marine Jumbo was available at the Haneda ANA store for $1250.00 back when the plane was still flying. So the $1900.00 is closer to the ballpark in today's value. Still that is what the Japan market bears for these items. With a bit of homework I contacted Pacmin directly for the model (back in 1993) they said ANA acquired the complete order but they had the decals to complete a model if ANA would approve the sale. Contacted ANA in California and to make a long story short the DID approve the sale! To all interested I did purchase the model back in 1993 for $700.00 including shipping the model from California to Washington, DC.

Cheers
Fred

And by the way those pictures are amazing... thanks for sharing them. Not too many aviation stores display that many Pacmins together.

Also goes to show the killing ANA is making on those Pacmins while charging an almost 50% markup on the actual price.

Richard,

Great pictures. I hope you haven't spent too much, I certainly would have been tempted. You certainly are travelling a lot... Where are you off to next?

Let me know when you are next in town you can collect your models....

Regards

Ashley

I didn't notice when I was there but do you see the glass of water in each cabinet? I guess to keep the wood stand from drying out. A typically careful Japanese touch. I do wonder how many people buy them. You have to think quite a few otherwise it wouldn't be worth them having them there.
