Default LH B737 by Executive Models

This one just sold on e-Bay....it has some "crazing" issues in paint, but otherwise looked good. It is 1/50th scale by the way. Maybe one of us is the proud new owner???

It went for a reasonable price ($232)

VINTAGE Executive Display Models Lufthansa Travel Agency Model 737 Jet Airplane | eBay

I watched it but the paint crazing and the lack of any detail on the wings and the all in one model (for the size - the wings don't come out) put me off. It's a cute model but not for me. :-)

Not me. Looks like a Skyland. I have a Skyland 1/72 Finnair DC10, that I bought, brand new, from VHF Supplies/EDM back in 1977, for the princely sum of £45! At that time, I think that these models were labelled as Executive Display Models, and sold at Brian Tompkin's VHF Supplies shop in Hounslow. Its possible that Brian was the first dealer in the UK, to make these type of models available to the general public. I seem to remember that at one time, Brian had some kind of deal with Westway to sell their models to the public at his VHF Supplies/Executive Display Models premises. Back in the late 70s, the VHF Supplies name disappeared, becoming Executive Display Models, located in new premises within the Sheraton Skyline Hotel. Brian later renamed his company Collectors Aircraft Models, with the Executive Display Models label mainly used for his range of custom, hand painted models. Most here will remember the collapse of CAM, at the hands of Brian's son, Nigel, at least Brian was saved from seeing that happen.
