Default BA Landor Models

Hello fellow collectors, 3 questions :

1) Has anyone of you ever seen a (larger then the snap fit Woosters) BA DC10 model ???

2) Has anyone of you large BA Landor colours models ?

3) Does anyone of you know from whom/where I might be able to purchase bigger Landors or where the likelyhood of getting one might be high ?

Thanks your comments, replies, hints, pictures etc.

They didn't seem to do many DC-10 1/100th scale models. I have seen one a few years ago but not many... I have a 1/50th Landor DC10 - i'll dig out a photo

Some Landor models from my collection below. I do miss the Landor scheme! Such a classic.

Yes, I have seen a large (1/100) scale Landor DC10, which was made by Space Models, and it was boxed. It belonged to a friend of mine at the time, who trades in models. It was some time ago, so I would doubt he still has it now, though I would be happy to ask him for you.

The DC-10 was made but not many as they were a byproduct of the BCAL absorption. I believe you could have one made by Westway in that scale but it's gonna be a couple hundred ££££'s but it would be a beautiful model when finished. If your interested in big scale models please pvt MSG me, I know where there are some but for serious inquiry only.

Interesting to see really that obviously no DC10's were made in larger scale, most likely as it was said due to take over and the age already of these beauties.

Unfortunately not I checked with them and they have no form for large DC10 models, only Boeings and Airbus. So looks it is limited to 1/100 and below scale. God damn shame....just imagine a nice DC10 in 1/36 like the above ones....BOY...that'd be amazing. I flew on one of them twice and it was once of the best flights ever...MIA-LGW-MIA. I fondly remember this flight.

Stunning She is beautiful and that is more the scale I was looking for....

I presume he doesnt want to get rid off it, huh ?

If you think back in time, wasnt the BA fleet, apart from the colours but from the aircraft flown at that time, just wonderful ?

Memories come up of HS748, 737-200, BAC 1-11, Tristar, DC10 etc etc

you could try graphideco in france. they do 1/200, 1/100 and 1/50's. no dc 10s on their website atm, but they do nearly 1000 airlines liveries. someone has posted pics of a 1/100 varig dc10, so might be worth an e-mail!!

Graphideco : Aircraft models - Airbus - Boeing - ATR - Fokker - Concorde

No unfortunately I sold the lasts one last year. It was a 500 series. I think the buyer is refurbishing the model to Air Lanka.

If only the shipping & customs wouldnt be an issue... I at least consider it, even if it is not Landor.
