I wonder if they make the model in their new shop at Arncliff (may be too small) or they have another workshop in Sydney.....Would like to see the progress of this model....

Wonderful photos.

Are the photos in Sydney or is the model made in Asia and if so where? (Philippines?).

Is it resin? And do you know if it's poured resin (like Atlantic models) or injection moulded (like PacMin)? :)

Re: 1:100 Qantas 747 in F1 colors

That's a great question! Is this a solid resin, fiberglass or wood carved model? If it's a resin base is this a cast formed mold, or an injected mold? Let us know the detials as it's not stated in the website?

Thanks

That kind of cash I would go for A Singapore Airlines "Tropical " 744.

it's hand carved mahogany, as all their models are I think. I have an ANA 787 mahogany model I got from ARD. it was just £180 net. you cannot tell its mahogany just looking t it. a pacmin one would be over £1000.00!!

Why pay the price for a PacMin? One reason is PacMin is the approved model builder for Boeing as their models are direct off the CAD designs from Boeing, no guess work there. Second reason, injected resin is expensive as a solid mold has to be built which is consistent to every model made from this mold as there's no deterioration whatsoever as you can make a lot of models from this mold and time and time as it will be the same form. Injected resin then is pumped into the mold which forces out any air that is in the resin to make it solid and dense as like somewhat like forging steel. The PacMin decals are considered the best in the industry too. That's why you we pay the price of having a PacMin, for the quality, workmanship & pride having this product.

Not to offend anyone but the quality of PacMin does speak for itself. The whole package paint, decals, look at the fan blades in the lower photos.

Would someone be kind enough to tell me what model production company is SAS. I've only had Pacmins, so any other options out there that are on the same level, I'm all ears.
