Default Where Pacminfiner gone?

As a large scale collector, i have been using pacminfinder.com a very useful website when locating PacMin models for sale.

All of a sudden, the website no longer exists. Does anyone know what has happened?

Wasn't that website somehow tied to Dave Green?

Wasn't he the so called Mr. Pacmin? He had a big collection of Pacmin's for a while then ran into tough times and got rid of some of them correct?

Greetings All,

However was maintaining that site appears to have shut it down and has now lost the domain name.

If the webpage was not generating any money itself, it certainly would cost money to maintain year after year. I also have used that site from time to time over the years. It will be missed for sure.

I've heard Dave Green's name mentioned to me before by Milos a few years ago. He's some sort of major desktop display model airplane collector as far as I know. But, don't know that much about him personally.

I found this other website several years ago and they also offer various types of vintage desktop display models for sale, including some PacMins:

Aeroscale

Dave Green is still actively selling on eBay. A great guy. He has some models on now.

Hi there! No, it wasn't run by me (Dave) and I also wonder where it has gone?! It was a great site and will be missed for sure. I remember visiting a few weeks ago and getting a warning about a possible virus - perhaps it was attacked by spam or virus software? Not sure. If I remember right the guy running it was in Seattle but I don't recall the name at the moment.

Oh well, thanks for the suggestions as well!

Best to all...

well i just checked site, and its FINE! using IE8.

Directory of Pacmin (Pacific Miniatures) Model Airplanes

Pacific Miniatures (Pacmin) airplane models are known for their quality and detail. Traditionally used exclusively by travel agencies and in executive offices, these models have found a new appreciation by collectors and aviation enthusiasts.
Pacmin models are made of resin, which are then carefully painted or decaled to exact airline specifications. The most popular size is 1/100 scale. A 747 and 777-300 is thus over 21 inches long, a mighty and impressive display. Other sizes include 1/200, 1/164, 1/144, 1/72, 1/64 and the very large 1/50. Expect to pay $100-$500 for a 1/100 model, depending on the airplane and airline. Once you see one of these models up close, you'll agree that the price is well worth it.
These models are not to be confused with the low-cost Philippine hand-carved mahogany models. Pacmin models are made of high quality resin, which insures a precise and accurate shape. Hand carved wood does not have the same level of detail. Just compare this Pacific Miniatures 747 Air Force One to this mahogany carved example.
There are several sources for Pacmin models. Some airlines sell direct to the public. Some models are created by Boeing as part of a sales pitch. Often these models become available on eBay. Boeing and Airbus both sells models in their manufacture paint schemes.
This website aims to capture the excitement of collecting Pacmin models and make available the various sources for acquiring these fine models. Thank you for visiting.

I am the author and owner of Pacminfinder.

Pacminfinder is alive and well. It went through a period of neglect and was the subject of being hacked (and thus the spam links). My wife recently gave birth to twin girls so I've been pretty busy.

I've since revamped all the links. If you find any bad links or have new ones to suggest, please email me at the address on pacminfinder.com. As an added security measure, the website is now hosted on Amazon S3 (very reliable and secure).

Thanks for your support of Pacminfinder. It's a lot of fun seeking out new places to buy Pacmin models.

I also run 37000feet.com, which allows convenient browsing and searching of NASA's Aviation Safety Reporting System (anonymously reported safety related incidents).

Daily I check pacminfinder instead of searching ebay, thank you, but why did you exclude Aviation Models link?

Aviation Models got lost in the shuffle. I put it back under Miscellaneous Resources just below the eBay section.
