Default Douglas DC-10 Design Model?

I am needing some help with identifying this model and where it came from and who made it. I was told that it was from the Douglas factory and used as a design/production prototype. It is resin and very accurate in my opinion. It is approximately 7 1/2" long. It does have a hole for a stand and it is sitting on one of my 1:200 Gemini Jets stands in the photos. It is very old and has yellowed with age. There are no chips or damage to the model at all.

If anyone has any information or comments about this model please feel free to chime in!

Thanks!

It almost looks like a wind tunnel test model. I certainly have never seen one before. Can't be to many of those around.

That's probably to small for a wind tunnel model. There was a company that made models back in the 60's-70's for Douglas, McD, and others to use, kind of a generic model, this is probably one of them.

Did some checking and looks like it was made by Marketing Aides, long out of business I would think.

Thanks! I am really trying to find at least one more example of this particular model or some documentation to help authenticate it. Any help is greatly appreciated!
