Default Vintage Model Stand Emblems

Anyone else have a stash of vintage model stand emblems?

That is a very nice and interesting collection. In all 37 years of collecting display models, it has never crossed my mind to collect these things, but then again I guess that they are as rar as the stands themselves. I'm certainly wiser than when I got up this morning

I'm sitting here with my jaw on the table. What a great collection Car15. The Douglas emblem is a favorite. How many years has it taken to land your treasure trove?

PS: Love Boeing and McD, but I will never accept the iconic Doug logo with a Boeing name attached - MY opinion. No haters please!

I started picking these up due to allways finding models missing their original stands. Repro stands can be found but the emblems are rare. The last douglas enameled one I found was listed as a hat badge. I also have a bunch of original metal stands waiting to be mated to their long lost airplane models, to include a Douglas metal stand with the enameled Douglas logo and a data plate that states "MODEL 2229". Finding that model will be nearly impossible.

That Douglas model 2229 SST is most likely in the Boeing vault. Boeing's model archive was featured recently in Airways Magazine. I will at least find reference for this airplane. I may have it somewhere.

Here's a link for a nicely rendered Douglas SST:

Impressive collection ....

In fact I have only some stands missing the plate rather than plates without stands... I never had an idea, where they went.. now I know!!!

If you have a stand plate for a Raise Up KLM Connie in scale 1/80, pleaaazzze let me know... Also looking for a plate for Luftie Viscount 1/100 by Schaarschmidt ...

I could really use that Douglas 2229 stand, I have the model in my US SST factory model collection. I have attached a photo of the model.
