Default Who make good F15s?

Can someone recommend me some good quality diecast F15s? What squadron has a good paint scheme also? I want to get a US brand, Ive done some googling and found a few Japanese versions.

If you're not in a rush, I guess many would recommend you to wait for Hobby Master to release their F-15 sometime next year. Can't guarantee what variant would be made or how the quality would be, but HM has been known to produce some of the best models in military 1:72 scale. I don't have any F-15s, but i've heard that witty wings and dragon wings make moderate ones.

For now until HM releases their F-15, you could consider a Witty Wings F-15, double seater as the canopy is more accurrate on it.

One of Witty's 1st releases was a double seater F-15 in US markings, squadron located in Iceland at Raykjavik (tail number IS). For some reason these are very hard to find.

They recently announced a Strike Eagle version in USAF markings...should be good release...coming very soon.

Personally between Dragon and Witty Wing's F-15, I would go for Dragon. The canopy on WW F-15 for both C and D version are inaccurate. Although the body of the WW F-15 is more detailed....

My suggestion, just wait for HM.

Aradrom posts a fair comment and it's a bonus if you find a heavily reduced priced Witty F-15. Perhaps evil bay is a consideration.

A Strike Eagle would be a nice model. It's rumoured this is the one HM intends to do first. We've had no further news from HM so Witty could be your only option.

Actually it looks like WW might beat HM to the punch regarding the F-15E
1:72 F15C Strike Eagle (USAF) - Legend's Toys & Hobbies - Your alternate source in the latest in Action Figures, Plastic Models & Collectibles.

Dunno why it says "F-15C" strike eagle....lol. My guess it won't be as accurate...and for the price tag....you might as well wait for HM

While i like Dragon's F-15s I question the accuracy of the copper/brown coloured canopy sitting over the cockpit of all of their models. Can anyone here clarify if thats just a Dragon thing or something that actually appears on real F-15s?

you are right sachiel the F-15E doesn't have that tint. DW's f-16 does the tint real nicely, but that is a different jet.

Its definitely an F-15 E....the big difference between a C and E can be easlily seen at the side of the fuselage. The F-15E has a comformal (fuel reserve tank) tank and the F-15C doesnt have it..... It seems the new F-15E tooling of Witty has a much better canopy shape than the F-15D

The most visible difference is the F-15C is an one seater, the E is a two seater model.
There are many other differences like conformal fuel tank, colour, cockpit instruments, weapons, missions they fly etc.
By the way I am also waiting for a good f-15E model. Hope it comes out soon.

And, the pylons on the cheecks. The F-15E has those pylons on the sides that allows it to carry a total of 12 MK 82 bombs.
