Great collection, some of my jets overlap with the ones you have. I though the IRAN F-4 in particular to have a very nice color. Should put that next to the IRIAF CW F-14.

There's no such thing as too many Hobby Master MiG-21s!

I have been looking forward to the new release for a while, but I do have to say the first few MiG-21s are probably my favourites - the subtle weathering is just right.

Nice pictures F8II Finback. I do that too; i'll take pictures of the box it was shipped in and then all of the model's boxes

Unfortunately as I have said for awhile, it's on my phone which only takes okay shots outside in the sun but getting a good starter camera this week.

Let's see them displayed now

Thanks for the photos, always welcome and great to see what others collect. I really like the Mig 21 in Luftwaffe colours (so I bought one) though the camo Russian is pretty smart, might be another addition to my collection. Yonny

Very nice indeed. The MiG21, any version is a classic. I've always wanted an Albanian Air Force one, but I guess that they were Chinese built versions.

I'm hoping HM comes out with the Su-17/22 sometime in the near future. A great companion to the MiG-21.

I'm impressed by your collection of MiG-21
Wouldn't buy as much variants of the same plane myself but i always enjoy to see collections like yours!

There are still a lot of nice russian jets undone in diecast ...

Believe it or not: all the same (1:72) scale.

Always a good choice! I like these little russian jets.

Perhaps it would be interesting for you to hear that Altaya has announced a MiG-31, SU-25K and MiG-23MF for their collection "Avions de combat à réaction".

So far, i bought their Luftwaffe EF-2000 and the latest Saab Gripen and i'm quite happy with them. Not perfect, more plastic than diecast, but definitely a good value for money as i got them for 13,99 EUR.

So i'm really looking forward to see what kind of job they'll do with their upcoming MiGs and Sukhois.

Edit: Ok ... i received the Altaya Saab Gripen today and i have to correct my first impression after my closer inspection this afternoon. Unfortunately, the quality of the Gripen can't match with their EF-2000. Many blotches of superglue around the missiles and pylons and a noticeable difference in the dark grey of the upper fuselage and the wings.
Looks like i'll have some work with this model ...

Dear bragadox :

u are 100 % right , i bought the EF2000, Rafale and the SU 33 once .they are not really nice but still have a very good value for money

and the major problem is , they have more plastic than diecast , cant make the canopy close/open , limits weapons ... etc

but if they issu a Mig -19 , Su 7/9 /22 , J-10 ,Mirage F-1 .. etc i will still buy some

Just 3 questions for those who do have Hobby Master's MiG-21, is it true that they have rolling wheels? and how small are they? the picture with the f-14 shows but i know that the tomcat's a pretty big aircraft. let's say their size compared with a f-4. and i realized that some of them have a machine gun on their belly, is this an add on or is it based on different variants? Thanks.

Hi Finback!
I'm a little busy at the moment, but i'll try to take some pictures of the Gripen soon.
These pictures at Altaya/eBay or Journeaux.fr aren't very good ... much too bright and not very detailed, so i hope i can show you some better shots.

These pictures at Altaya/eBay or Journeaux.fr aren't very good ... much too bright and not very detailed, so i hope i can show you some better shots.

Many thanks for the info. I believe that the Albanians also flew the Chinese built version of the Ilyushin Il28 bomber, a 1/72 scale of one of those would be top of my list! Once again, your MiG collection is stunning. I do have a 1/18 MiG 15, in North Korean markings. I wish that the same company would do a MiG 21 in the same scale.

Not really into air forces besides USAF but great models. Sorry for going a lil off topic here but just a question about your a-6's door, how do they work, they slide or are they like hm's harriers where there are two holes to fit in?
Thanks

So would it come off if the aircraft was turned upside down?
Thanks again.

Maybe my thread here would help you, you can see the gear-door pieces of the A-6. You simply insert them in (no, they do not fall out when it's turned upside down
