Default F-14A Tomcat VF-84 AJ200 1991

1:72 CW

F-14A TOMCAT U.S.NAVY VF-84 AJ200 1991

This is actually my first CW model. I'd already collected a few Gulf War airplanes, figured a 1991 F-14 would fit right in. Now the question is, which F-14 to add next?

picture number 5 brings out the mean looks of an F-14. Excellent photos, I think you MUST add the AJ201-1991 to your collection. This one is more definitive in as far as being a desert storm bird. Keep up the good job.

Not bad at all. Should I collect a Tomcat my preference will be for a scheme with a bit more colour. Sundowners is an obvious choice. Wolfpack is another good one.

This is really good choice for your first F-14.
So... you must add some older VF-84 to your collection Of course, it's hard to find any right now but probably CW will makes AJ204-206 soon.

The Black Aces 1978 is a nice one also. CW really needs to start making more squadrons, especially VF-1 and VF-2.

The tomcat might be the first military aircraft to make its way into my collection.

Thanks guys

I agree, CW should look at releasing other squadrons. I wouldn't mind adding a high viz F-14 to my collection. My latest add is an A-6 in high viz markings, looks great next to the Saratoga F-4

Great model and nice pictures...
I got this one as well...the trouble on mine is starboard landing gear is loose in its mounting slot...everytime I pick it up (dusting/rearanging...etc...) the whole gear falls out...

@ aradrom

Thanks

With the loose landing gear, you can try securing with Elmer glue or paper soaked in water. When the paper dries it expands filling the gap. Works with loose weapon pylons too
