Default Century Wings Molds

Does anyone know if Century Wings breaks their molds after producing whatever quantity they are going to produce. The Ichi Ban SR-71 had 3000 models produced. Is that all they will ever produce of this particular model. Thanks,

Chad

No one could give you an accurate answer unless the company chimes in but it is such a waste to destroy the mold. I understand where you're coming from, you want to ensure that only 3000 of the Ichi Ban gets produced- but that's just the paint scheme. No need to destroy the mold after that.

That same mold would go on to produce other Sr-71A models like the Rapid Rabbit, the BB tail, and the latest NASA/USAF bird.

I believe they do change the mold after X amount of usage. For example, they must have changed the F-14 mold (maybe 2 or 3 times by now) after producing so many.
