So pleased to see you return to the forum, Taki! Or was it just some of the idiots at 400SH you were escaping from? Hope all is well with you. Great looking models, BTW...the gray FN Crusader is interesting.

Hi Steve. Just dropping by to say hi.

400sh were infested with too many "wish-list" trolls and whiners crying "where latino?" "where's russian?"

The Intruder I'm eying on. I passed on all the previous version. This low-vis I like.

Seems like CW has been on a role with low-vis aircrafts, starting with the F-14, then the Sr-71 BB, and now the intruder.

The modern lo-viz colors are too monochromatic for me, although they do reflect today's aircraft. I like the interesting paint schemes from twenty or more years ago. They were just tooo cool.

yeah but we had plenty of that so it is high times now for low vis schemes. I like both paints but I feel that the low vis makes the jet more realistic and more aggressive.

Excited when I saw the title of this thread, but disappointed by this F-8E. The shade of grey CW used is wrong, it should look more "blue".

If the final product is the same as on these pictures I'm afraid it won't get much vote from French collectors.

Good catch, you should e-mail those to CW so they can correct it in time.

Just like they corrected the dark red on the latest Blackbird?

Strangely, the earlier pics looked much more blue. Either way, it needs to be quite blue, France is famous for their blue fighter planes.

Yea I know chances are low sending an e-mail since they don't respond, but at least we did our part. Hopefully they will listen...

Thank you for the advice, I'll try this. The French Crusaders (or "Crouze" as we called them) also had enlarged horizontal stabs, which I'm not sure CW implemented on their model.

If they forgot the larger stabs, that would be almost unfathomable, compared to the minor antenna configuration differences they DID do. They got the little things, but not the major airframe difference?

I'll have to find some pics of the real thing to compare to, I won't judge the stabs just "from memory".

Looking more, and comparing to the kit they copied---I think Century has the correct stabs on the F-8. It's just almost impossible to tell from how they angled them to the camera. Really, I don't think we'll know for certain until someone puts it tail-to-tail with an F-8E, and we can see if they're bigger.
