Default Century Wings Aircraft Carrier at National Air and Space Museum?

Hello, I remember seeing a scale aircraft carrier on display somewhere at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. I have always wanted to know where the scale Aircraft Carrier was from. It was largo too, with Aircraft on it from 1:72 or 1:144 scale, not like a model kit that is plastic and you have to build/paint. It was a really nice display, with glass casing and many modern day US Naval a/c. Has anyone also seen this before in person?

I believe you are referring to this one

But this isn't the same one as Century Wing's aircraft carrier

Yes, that is exactly the one. Looks like its 1:72 scale. Do you happen to know who made the Model Aircraft by looking at them?

Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with plastic models so I can't tell you who made the aircraft models in the National Air and Space Museum. It could have been custom made or built from scratch like this one:
USS Enterprise CVN-65 by Gabriel Suranyi

I think that's probably the most impressive aircraft model I have seen, probably better than the one displayed in the museum and CW's. It took 19 YEARS to build and it's an enormous 1/72 scale!

Yeah, I have seen that 1/72 scale carrier on that site before. I love the lights he put in the ceiling inside the hangers. Very detailed!

Unfortunately I'm not, I'm in CA. Those pictures are some I found on the internet so I can't take credit for those.

I am very impressed by how much is going on with this hobby. Who built this ship and is he keeping it at home and ready to sell it?
The ship looks alomost like the real thing with all the low vis planes and the crew busy with their stuff

The guy who built the 1/72 ship is named Gabriel Suranyi, considering it took him 19 years to build her....I seriously doubt he would want to sell it...well everyone has their price and this would cost you an arm and a leg if it was up for sale lol. The CW's carrier cost $24 K, so I would assume this 1/72 ship would cost double that.

I've been there at Air and Space Museum last summer.
I'd like to say that it's a wanderful place for any aircraft's collector or just for those peoples who likes this...

My pics: (click to zoom image)

The carrier:

(the models of jets are nice...)

Good-looking F-14 model:

29K ???????? Wow. I totally underestimated the price on that. Take that off my list of models to buy before I die!

The official price for CW 1/144 scale aircraft carrier is $24,999.99....but hey...at least they threw in free shipping haha.

It weighs 600 lb!!! but that price doesn't include any planes...
