I have one in 1/144th scale. I missed out on 1/72nd scale Moonlighters. For A-6, I prefer the Marines.

I got this 1/144th A-6 for mere $24.00. This will do for now until CW re-releases more Intruders.

I love all of the backgrounds and dioramas you've created. They're absolutely phenomenal! The Century Wings collection is great, I'm working on my own now, I love the 60's-80's naval aircraft but some of your Hobby Master models look great aswell, so you've inspired me to look into Vietnam era airforce birds! I'll begin posting after I've built some dioramas of my own!

A very nice collection of military Diecast! I recently discovered 1/72 diecast about a year ago, and the releases get better and better! Such an amazing category! It has become frighteningly difficult to control my purchases between 1/400 and 1/72.

Thankyou for sharing with us

Same here. It was becoming too expensive to keep up with both, so I have to drop one of them. With rising price and declining quality control in 1/400th scale market, it was an obvious choice for me to drop that one.

Not sure exactly when but F-4 Sundowner was around 1971 or 72. Prior to that, Sundowner was F-8. I don't think F-4 and F-14 Sundowner were ever together on the ship. F-14 Sundowner was on USS Carol Vinson.

I love the Sundowners and Bounty hunters set ups you have, I cant get enough of 1/200 military fighters, the Bounty hunters livery is the nicest colour scheme out on fighters in my opinion.

Beautiful collection ANA.

I'm curious what you think about Herpa's SR-71s? How do they stack up against CWs?

Thank you Maverick. Sorry for the late reply. I'm slowly shifting my hobby to something else, so I rarely visits here now. 1/200th scales are awesome but unfortunately they're becoming expensive. My favorite schemes are Jolly Rogers, Sundowners, Bounty Hunters, and Tomcatters.

Thank you Elmer. Herpa's Blackbird is good despite some minor error and flaw: metallic exhaust nozzles and unpainted nose gear strut door. For 50 bucks, its a great deal. Just to let you know that the "B' version (trainer) may have some QC (quality control) issue.

You must be some kinda Jedi master or something. Your dioramas are of museum quality!

I love the pilots that ANA Mohican puts in his jets, they certainly beat CW pilots. But then CW is not figures specialized, Dragon though makes many 1/6 figures and that might explain their 1/72 pilots being so realistic.

Now, I appereciate if someone can help me with finding a large pack of dragon pilots that I can buy. I would like to replace all my CW pilots with dragon pilots. I know about this site:

1/72nd Scale Pilots and Aircrew Figures

but this is 6$ per pilot, and hasegawa puts only two pilots in a box. So I hope someone can help me make my models look better. Where may I purchase a large pack of dragon pilots?? CW seats are fine but the pilots are just too clumbsy.

My mediocre 1:72 collection WWII-Vietnam, one my P-51s is missing after a landing mishap she'll be out of the shop shortly

Also great dioramas, I'd never have patience to put all that together

Thanx ANA

The Corsairs are some of my favorites as well. I espcially like your USN A1H, was going to pull the trigger on this one but it was no longer available
Still managed to snatch the USAF A-1

Ana Mohican-I need your help. I've had trouble realizing pictures of my dioramas. What camera settings are you using for your close-ups?

What kind of trouble are you having? Focus, lighting, etc?

I use el cheapo camera Sony Cybershot P210 and W300.

Focusing:
I do not use macro setting. It makes one spot sharp and the rest blur. Instead, use max. resolution setting, take pic from slight distance, and then crop out the unwanted area in image editor, such as Photoshop. Also use stand/tripod for sharpness.

Dept-of-field:
If your camera can adjust the aperture, set to the smallest opening. If not, take photo in bright area, such as outdoor, and force the camera to close the opening.

Flash:
I do not use flash. It floods the shadow area.

Photo editor software:
Use it, makes everything look good.

Hi Ana, great pictures you have there esp. the carrier deck setup. Could I find out how make the blast deflector for the carrier deck and where did you get the airfield tarmac?
