Default Flying Mule.com

Hi everyone, I've started to gain interest in military aircraft models and after some searching, found this website. There seems to be a wide variety of products, not limited to aircraft, which seems nice. After browsing the site a bit, armor models actually seemed to have taken my interest as well.

Does anyone have any comments about this site? Is their service/shipping/pricing good?

Thanks for any help given.

The Mule is a good site, prices are reasonable and they have frequent sales. I've done some business with them and have been pleased with their service.

You are doomed...!

I tried several dealers years ago to get a "feel" for them, and have settled on Aiken's Airplanes. I've never had any problems, I can call them up and actually speak to someone... so I haven't ventured out much beyond them, except in a pinch if they are sold out of something...

... in which case I have gone to Flying Mule a couple of times with excellent results as well - very fast shipping.

Thanks everyone for all the help!

From this, I've been able to hear good things about this retailer and a few more. I will look up Aiken's Airplanes.

Have you checked out Pete's Collectibles? Usually have some pretty good sales there too.

It's kind of funny reading this thread because my last three orders have been one from each listed (Pete's, Flying Mule, Aikens).

I love Flying Mule! Super fast shipping, and I live in Australia. Their online service is top notch and their range is awesome. Have purchased most of my models through them so far.

I own several model diecast collectibles and another one on the way. They were all bought from Flying Mule. They are an excellent vendor. They're fast and reliable and the models they offer are exquisite and reasonably priced. I highly recommend buying from them.

I vote for the flying mule too. Other retailers are good as well but the mules are the best. Better than aiken in packaging, and better timewise than other sites. They get CW models before any other.

So I'm not the only one, they are very helpful to send replacements though.

Aiken's is abit expensive, awesome service makes up for that.

Flying Mule has been excellent for me, living at the end of the earth as I do, their service has been excellent. Very fast. However, I've been disappointed at times with their selection & have just discovered the joys of Aikens Airplanes where I could at last secure an RAAF F/A-18A, which I ordered today. They look to have a fantastic selection.

I've bough nearly my entire collection, something like 130+ models, from the mule and they have been excellent till recently. Not that it's their fault but some of the merchandise they get from HM has been crap but they were more then helpful to send replacements even without asking for the defective model to be returned so a plus for anyone outside the US.

But also their release dates are always delayed now, probably a shipping issue rather then the Mules fault.

Aikens is also very good but their postage is higher then the Mule for outside the US, which is a bummer because I'd give them more business if it wasn't for that. They seem to have more stock and consistent release dates.

There are lots of reputable online vendors---The Flying Mule, Pete's Collectibles, Aikens, and others----so it's really a matter of building relationships, pricing, the location for faster service and what lines they carry. I use one vendor, mainly, and fill in sometimes with others as the need arises.
