This is a good one, especially since you politely deleted the name of the well known requester......

Luckily the seller knows, what he has in his hands. The reserve price is properly defined. He did a fantastic job to post this nice little conversation into the auction.

What the hell is going on in these damaged brains of collectors...

Wow, now that is a nice model! But at the current bid, a little out of my price range though. The seller certainly did the right thing!

Looks like someone else tried as well, but got shot down even better:

Funny, this guy is notorious for offering low ball offers on models. He seems to find even the most obscure auctions, and his SOP is to offer some ridiculous amount in hopes of tricking an unsuspecing seller.

I think some of the long time collectors know him quite well. He was busted on this forum for offering someone the same $500 for what was obviously described Douglas factory 1/50th scale metal model of a DC-7. Funny how airplane models bring out the greed in some people. But again, some are greedy from birth!
