Default North American B-25J "Betty's Dream"

Today sees No/4 in my Bomber arrivals, this time made by CORGI 1/72 scale and it is A North American B-25J Mitchell named "Betty's Dream" witch served with the 499th BS, 345th BG 'AIR APACHES' Le Shima, Okinawa, August 1945.

Yeah, there's something not quite decent about that stance. Maybe "Betty" is dreamin'...

Usually the Corgi B-25's are notorious tail-sitters.

I had one that wasn't a tail sitter but I sold it. Later acquired the Ruptured Duck which is a tail sitter. I removed the front canopy and loaded it up with lots of lead. Problem solved. Probably the most modified model in my collection.

Steve, in all seriousness, maybe a silly Q but do you have the wing gear all the way in? That butt should not be sticking up in the air that much. Looks like she’s in heat...

Hi American Werewolf, have checked the model landing gear, and there in as far as they go, notice there is a set of steps that go with it, is it possible they made them a little bigger so it would not tail flip, if that's the normal problem,?? other than that could cut them down a bit, but looks Ok on the stand.

If that's "as far as they go" then you need to get the file out since, frankly, what you have photographed there is ludicrous.

for diecast aircraft fitment in general, "sanding sponges" are a good idea. get them on ebay or aliexpress from china.. they ae high quality sticks for nail use with a variety of grades. infinitely useful.

I’ve been saying this for a long time (on other places) Corgi apart from providing us with wonderful models over the years, have the annoying habit of having WW2 tricycle models sitting nearer to heaven. P38, B25, and so on. Even the B24 is ridiculous, given, a scale man could walk upright under it!!!!
Do they not look at photographs.....
This B25 does look awful as is, you will have to chance something........
