Default Century Wings & Final Countdown

Hi,

At the moment I'm expanding my Century Wings F-14 collection. There are quite a lot of Jolly Roger Tomcats, which ones are shown/seen in the movie The Final Countdown? Every 1978 livery CW has produced?
What about these two:

Thank you very much!

Kind regards,

Dan

There are many jr releases, there is aj200 with normal and landing configurations, aj201, aj202 normal and kneeling configurations, aj203 normal and kneeling configurations, aj207 normal version, and there is aj210. All of them can be found on ebay but you will have to pay a ton of money for one of the early releases.

Thank you Eric, I've seen quite a lot on Ebay for a lot of money indeed, but which ones were in The Final Countdown? I do not have the money to get all the JR variants, wish I started this hobby earlier

So it would be safe to say that both models in my first post (the 600 limited edition runs) are both seen in the movie? Can someone please confirm?

Actually several HM releases were also on the Nimitz during the filming. We still need the E-2B from HM.

Squadrons aboard the Nimitz at the time included:

VF-41 and VF-84 (F-14A Tomcats) Century wings release

VA-35 (A-6E Intruder) CW released both tanker and attack versions

VA-82 and VA-86 (A-7E Corsair II) CW released both squadrons produced

VFP-63 (RF-8G Crusader) Need CW to make this one.

VAQ-134 (EA-6B Prowler) Hobby Master release

VS-24 (S-3A Viking) Hobby Master release

VAW-112 (E-2B Hawkeye) Hobby Master needs to make this one

HS-9 (SH-3H Sea King) No hope as Corgi would have to do it.

I am not a 100% percent sure, but I believe RVAH-6 (RA-5C Vigilante) by Hobbymaster is also part of the same cruise. Can anyone confirm this?

RVAH-6 was in the same carrier air group so it must have been in the same cruise

Yep I missed the RA-5C on my list and it's sitting right next to me on the Final Countdown shelf. I really thought we would have the E-2B by now as HM was on a roll for a bit.

It's funny, I just recently watched "Final Countdown". I hadn't seen it since I watched it on a crappy TV when I was a kid. What a difference HDTV and streaming make! The detail and paint schemes on all the aircraft were jaw dropping awesome! That movie is a time capsule of U.S. Naval Aviation. I need to watch it again just to check out all the aircraft.
