You won't, because of the license fee.

>Mig-27
Not impossible, but surely there are many better western subjects that are more interesting and go ahead of this list.

>F-111B prototype
Not going to happen in 1/72 diecast.

>F-14 Prototype
There's nothing stopping HM or others from doing "close enough for diecast" prototype F-14 liveries. I suspect at some point from some manufacturer we will surely see the "Super Tomcat Prototype" livery the one IIRC sits on the intrepid at the moment.

>B-2 Bomber
If we see it in diecast, it will be either from a generic chinese company (AF1) who will make a pretty terrible gappy version based on the GWH kit or, with some luck, a $600 version by a Japanese brand.

>F6D Missileer
Love the aircraft, but it's never, ever going to happen in diecast. for one, it never flew. two, the only kit available of it as far as i know is the rare and unpopular anigrand.

with a recession coming in the eurozone, dont be so negative. plus, this "license fee" continues to be a myth. neitehr you nor i nor anybody really has a grasp on how much it is or how much it would actually affect the retail price.

Maybe not, but it's nevertheless the reason/excuse that William still gives for not doing any more Dassault planes or Bell helicopters.

the f11 tiger was done by falcon models and more or less quite decently.your best bet is to find those, though you will pay a bit of a premium for most releases.

B1, B2, B52 are just too big in 1/72 scale. would be very expensive.

several dassault models including mirage f1 and III avail from falcon models

F-111 is avail from HM

F-111 is indeed available from HM but not the B model which was a prototype designed to be a long range fighter bomber for the US Navy and a replacement for the F-4. The project was inevitably scrapped when the plane was considered to be too massive to be stationed aboard aircraft carriers

I really want to see a Grumman Tracker. The multitude of American, Japanese, Canadian, Korean and Australian liveries alone would make it worth Hobby Master’s while.

Agree with most of those except the Sabre, the other variants weren't, especially the CAC Sabre.

It's HMs modern aircraft that have issues, especially those made in the last few years, they've cut a lot of corners and suffer from poor scheme accuracy.

I had a thread not long ago mentioning my opinion on this. Just to recap,I said it would be good if Dassault asked HM to produce their models as the Dassault shop's models are slightly inferior ( my opinion). Then obviously between them establish the royalty cuts. But i honestly feel if HM did these Dassault products,we'd see some awesome jets being done!

Or they can just make these anyway without permission as it didn't stop them making more Mirages recently without licensing

The distributors paid for the license.

So I've heard but I reckon that's abit of chinese BS as weren't the boxes unmarked? Not to mention the nonexistent pre pro shots or final photos on HMC or anywhere for that matter. There was a lot of secrecy about it all for an aboveboard product.

A good point there, & I've just looked at the box of my recent one & you're right- it doesn't say licensed by Dassault. So if it's really true that the recent ones were unlicensed, why does William continue to stubbornly refuse to make any more Dassault planes, ditto Bell choppers & persist in using the license fee as the reason why he won't make any?

Probably because there is a difference between official and unofficial responses from William. Officially he cant make these planes without a license to do so, but unofficially if he releases a few hundred planes "Under the radar" (pardon the pun) he might be able to get away with it without attracting too much attention.

Going out of left field here, but some can be in 1/72 scale and maybe 1:200.

But they should stop making the C-47 in 1:200 and do in 1/72.

Also have been wanting the B-25 for a long time in 1:72, also stop making the B-24 in 1:200.

B-1B, probably not happening in any scale, I have seen the Herpa version in person and I know HM can make them way better. Also the B-2 could work but probably not happing. I would love to see a B-52, only bad thing is wingspan. Lets all wish one day well get a XB-70, they can really push the medium and long range bombers in a bigger scale to attract a bigger audience.

But one of my top ones is a Doolittle Raider B-25 and a F-15 Active.

The problem there is that Corgi already do perfectly good B-25s & several Doolittle planes in particular- therefore HM might find them a hard sell unless they were much better than Corgi's- & that might prove difficult as Corgi's ones are already very good.

I know William is a busy man,so I might be asking a bit much here, but it would be good if he interacted with us on the forum with issues like this. It happens frequently on the Civil side of this forum where two manufacturers are actively involved in discussions with collectors, albeit not on a continuous basis.

Indeed so- some are even actively involved in cooperating in the actual development of some of HM's models. Neil Pearson for example helped out with the Typhoon.

The original "bats" release (HA3504) was one of HM's best jet releases ever. it is virtually impossible to find one now. It took a little while to take off since the released pics didn't do it justice, but once people cottoned on, they were gone. I'm glad I have one.

Maybe it's time for another "Bats" 2-seater? I suspect this one would do very, very well for them:

1/32 decals are available for this in Academy Kit aca12118

Yes, that model which that italian opportunist is selling is the previous bats one, HA3504. A very satisfactory model, in my view, but you'd have to really want it to pay his high price.

1) Republic F-84F Thunderstreak and Thunderflash.
Early cold war jets that have been used by most NATO air forces in the 1950's, so many possible liveries. 2714 were build! I would really like it as it is the only important NATO jet that has never been available in diecast. It is also no longer made as kit too, so no chance to add it to your collection at all. I expect a huge demand for it. It is the only jet that was in Dutch service I do not have yet .
2) Northrop F-5A/B incl. CF-5 / NF-5 (Canadian/Dutch version with some upgrades). So far we only have the F-5E/F which has a different airframe (longer).

Of course, new molds have high costs. Certain models of less famous aircraft might not sell well and would not make a profit for the manufacturer.
But, just to dream, we could think of the following models:
- Tejas
- Rockwell Buckeye
- Rockwell Bronco
- Cessna Dragonfly
- FMA Pucara
- Embraer A29 ST
- Aermacchi MB326
- Thunder (Pakistan)
- K50
- SUD Vaultour
- Lockheed TR-1
- Mirage 5
- Mirage IV
- ThunderStreak
- Lockheed U2
- YAK-38 Forger
- F88 Scorpion
- B66 Destroyer
- Supermarine Swift
- Supermarine Scimitar
- Dassault Super Mystere
- SU-22 Fitter
- MIG-27
- Grippen E
- Saab 105
- Hispano Saeta
- Saab Tunan
- Saab Lansen
- Dassault Etendart
- Tu-28 Fiddler
- Vought F7U Cutlass

Or some moulds that stopped being produced or almost never produced anymore.
like the a-6, a-7, f-8, h-60, ah-1, a-5, ra-5c in sea camo, 1/72 or 1/144 b-1b, and the h-3(maybe hs-9 to complete cvw-8)

OMG!

A similar model was made by F/Mint, scale 1/48, and was called "Europe One" but without that impressive laod-out.

And this was the E's prototype if I'm correct. Always loved this Lizard green and it looked awesome on this aircraft. Note it doesn't have the 'turkey feathers' as on the standard E’s.

We won't see any of those made, because of William's excuse about the Dassault licence fee. Whether or not it's BS on his part (Fortunate Son has suggested that the fee would not be as extortionate as HM claim, plus the last few releases were unlicenced), it's the reason he's given, therefore he won't do them.

Wilkinss is very correct in the points he has made. However, just once nuance: I call it "bs" not just to "call out" hobbymaster, but rather because i hope that collectors continue to express their views to HM that they want the dassault/french aircraft to be made and don't just "give up." HM has change its mind / has "found solutions" before based on customer pressure and I suspect they can here too.
