Fairly new to the central florida area, does anyone know of any good Diecast shops in the Orlando or even Jacksonville area? I'm in the Daytona Beach area.

Nope i think most 'Hobby shops' in Orlando sell mostly plastic kits or R/C airplanes.. when i use to live in Orlando i never came across a real Die-cast airplane shop but the ones i knew of sold only plastic kits or R/C airplanes & cars.. but you do have The Airplane Shop here in Sunny Miami and if your heading up north towards Jacksonville, make a stop at Big Bill's Die Cast shop, which is a cool Hobby shop in St. Augustine, Florida.. they sell mostly Die-cast cars but also some airplane models, mostly military ones..

...that one day I will see many more colorful JC Wings MD-11 models and the long-awaited Gemini 200 TWA twin stripes 727-200!

I always fly America's favorite airline: Southwest Airlines and the World's oldest KLM!

Yeah I used to go to the airplane shop all the time in Miami when I lived down there. Especially when it was attached to Atlantic Models, what wonderful people. I'll have to check that place out in St. Augustine thank you!

There was an on-line retailer in Orlando called 'Sky's the Limit'. I believe that the gentleman who owns it is Bob Knight. I bought several models from him over the years and always had a good experience. The web site appears to have closed down but I recently found that he is operating on eBay as bob07506mdm. His eBay store is 'Airplane Models by Sky's the Limit'. I do not know if he operates a bricks and mortar store in Orlando, but it would be worth reaching out to him if you can.

Bob of Sky's the Limit...super nice guy! If you contact him in advance he will occasionally let you come by his residence and go through his stock if you are going to spend $. He does not operate a brick and mortar, but does the shows in Atlanta and some of the ones close to him.
