Default F-15: Gemini Aces vs HM vs JC

New comer looking to buy a GA F-15 but never had one before. Seems it has gone busted or acquired by some other brand? I’d like to know pros and cons from each brand and wondering which one offers the best quality and details (putting price aside). Thanks!

Depends on what it is your looking for in an F-15. Do you want the cookie cutter version or do you want the high quality model with lots of parts? The F-15E's from HM are nice. they come with almost 30 different parts and and multiple weapon loadouts and they display nicely on a shelf. This particular model caught my eye a couple of days ago.

And there are other variants out there and tons of liveries to choose from too. So it's like I said, it just all depends on what you are looking for in an F-15. Pretty much all of the companies you listed have a nice range to choose from. HM offers the most as far as F-15 variants whether its your standard, run of the mill F-15C or F-15E, or they also have the F-15A, F-15D, F-15J and F-15K variants too. I think they even had an F-15B, I, and S variant at one point but those are long out of production

Oh BB, I´m afraid you´ve openly leaked photos of the last F-15´s secret - the ultimate weapon when ejecting over enemy territory .... "Letter opener"

I think you´re in real trouble now

Thanks. Specifically, I’m eyeing on the Gemini F-15I which appears to bear more pad printing than its later product from HM. From the photos it seems the Gemini one has moving rudder which I like. But my concern is the paint may have started to have bubbles due to aging and storage condition (dunno which year Gemini released F-15I). Also, I understand there are gaps in model accuracy and QC among these brands, based on what I read from many collectors’ feedback.

Personally I prefer the loadout on the Gemini version of the Ra'am even if they are blue training rounds, as I absolutely detest the Popeyes on the HM one. In fact I shall be changing the whole load out once I get back, now that I have acquired a decent asymmetric bundle.

I do have both, but unfortunately am not at home to do the comparison.
The HM's shape, especially around the nose and canopy is a lot better than Gemini's effort. This has been well documented on threads before though so a quick search should see you right.

I am a huge fan of the Gemini/Witty panel lines over the HM ones and I think they represent them a lot better in 1/72. The movable parts are to each persons tastes, personally I'm not fussed either way. They add a little something to the model i guess but unless you are going to sit playing with them they dont really add much, but neither do they detract anything away from it.

Quality wise, both of the ones I have are perfect, I cant see any QC issues with paint, fit or mould other than the quirks each of them have.
I would say depending on the condition of the one you buy, you can buy it in confidence. Its a great solid lump with a good solid stand.

This may not be helpful as it's second hand information. So far as Strike Eagles are concerned I believe it's only HM that makes a proper F-15E. Allegedly other brands are really selling F-15B/Ds with some bombs. Can't say any more than that, I don't know much about F-15s.

Pretty much nails it.

A lot depends on the scheme that you fancy as well. I still have a couple of Dragon F15s,.....and they are pretty good as well. Possibly they have the best burner cans of the lot and some of their scheme application is excellent. Of course they are terribly fiddly.

In fact I have all brands of F15 in my collection. I do like the Gemini F15s I have in the collection,....and as noted the RA'AM with training rounds is rather unique.

HM's F15E is defo the best F15E though,..in my opinion.
