I could not agree more. From being the flagship of diecast manufactures, it's sad to see the demise of Corgi, leaving just HobbyMaster to carry the torch.
But if HobbyMaster goes under it's goodnight to all...

Apart from the Brisfit....

But wish HM were making 1/48 WW1 as we would get the new models released far quicker.

while it's slightly a let down that the corgi cat doesnt include any new moulds for post-ww1 collectors, overall the release list is reasonably well architected in terms of using the most of corgi's existing moulds. corgi seems to have been engaged in a much needed improvement in scheme selections over the last 1-2 years or so.

for me, only one model that i might get is the b-25. should be another b-25 beauty and it's nice to see them finally getting out of the doolittle raiders phase with that otherwise very nice mould. what would be absolutely lights out awesome would be if they could (slightly?) modify the tooling for a future release and do a snub-nosed 'commando b-25' (often seen with white diagonal stripes on the rear fuselage).

the he111 should be quite nice and most of the rest of the 1/72 releases are the type that should more or less slowly sell. there is the question of how their ef typhoon will sell now that hobbymaster's will be out.

one unifying theme of some of the scheme selections is that corgi recently tend to choose aircraft with well known stories over particularly attractive aircraft. this cat shows this in spades... hess's bf110, mi amigo b17, and the yamamoto-killer p-38 exemplify this.

corgi's obviously all-in on ww1, which is good for some, i suppose. as muchs as i like the brisfit though, ima bit skeptical of corgi's ability to make such a fragile aircraft convincingly in metal. ditto for the eindecker. i know they're well praised, but i've sold off most of my corgi ww1 collection as they never quite did it for me.

like most of us i suppose i dont get much corgi these days (little miss mischief b-17, 1/48 ee lightning, and recently SH-3 'tridents' helicopter), but i'm quite perplexed as to why corgi havent released more sh-60f oceanhawks. the one that they released before sells for big big money on ebay and there are plenty of schemes. maybe the reason is that this is available from easy model and amercom cheaply, but i think corgi has misread this - there are i think enough collectors who would be happy for a higher quality version of these than those discounters could provide.

Happy 2020 everyone!

Ok so its here.

My thoughts are pretty much the same as FS. The two winners are the B-25 and the HE-111. The B-25 is very similar to the Bats Outta Hella scheme a few years back and since I already own it I am on the fence. I already own the Condor Legion HE-111 so I'll pass on this one.

But like I said, both are cracking schemes.

Maybe the Lanc for me since I don't have one.

I do have one question about the B-17 "Mi Amigo". Is it a B-17G or F model, the photo shows it with its chin turret, but I have seen other photos of it where it is clearly an F. Someone somewhere got the art wrong.

If its a G...not interested, if its an F or earlier its a "maybe" since I am in the market for one early B-17. I really like the 9-0-9 scheme but its almost impossible to find and really expensive.

I am surprised we got another B-17 since we got the uninspiring FLAK EATER last year I thought we would get a B-24. Since there are no new B-24s this year I get Strawberry ***** instead.

The last surprise as FS stated was the lack of a new tooling. There was a poll last year of what new plane we wanted and the winner was the Handley Page Hampden I was sure we were going to see it this year.

Well maybe HM will make more of an effort in 2020 than last year for us prop heads.

i am just back from skiing, flying, working, etc. waiting for me here at home was the very nice corgi helicopter: Sikorsky SH-3A White 63 "Gauntlets" AA33422.

While in some sense 'nothing new' for those of you who have seen Corgi SH-3s before, given it is what it is it is a gorgeous piece of diecast that looks lovely in full gloss. Sure, it feels like an early 2000s mould but even so it oozes quality. these seem to be selling at a good clip too (at least in britain - they are still around but they seem to be mostly gone from the discounters).

Wonder why there's so much excitement about it as it's a pretty dull scheme, stencils or not.

Oh, and just for your information:
Corgi AA33422 "White 63" SH-3A is not "Gauntlets", as you are wrongly stating.
Its Tridents

You said you own this model ...

That's three "old UF-class" insulting messages from Ladia in the last week or so.
Not clear to me why Ladia has become such an argumentative **** recently, but anyway, needless to say he's on my ignore list .

here i am pointing at the model so that ladia can see that i own it, despite my misstatement.

To your "misstatement" (as you call it):
No problem mate, i´m already used on many "misstatements" in your posts ....

Because you´re sending insulting PMs to me?

No, even when you are sending insulting PMs to me, its not the real reason.
To be honest, already some time ago I wanted to tell you that there were times when you used to be quite different and in some way nicer person (.. apart of your UF "weak point" of course). I remember you used to be a collector whom I even liked and respected. But some 1-2 years ago there must have happened something unfortunate in your life because since then you have changed into the "current FS". I tell you, it looks like two very different persons ...
Remember your insultings of other members here? There it started. Remember how you insulted BB, Skosh and many others, not speaking about UF? (... ok, "old UF", as you say).
Remember you were questioning Playboys Prowler canopy trimming - only to disagree?
Remember when you, just not to agree with me, were able to proclaim that missing red tampos on HA19014 F-4N intakes should collectors repair by themselves? Just because it was me, who pointed out your evident overlooking of this mistake, you better downplayed this substantial error suggesting collectors to "trivially" repair it by themselves ....
Not sure if such high mistake tolerance is your actual attitude, but I´m pretty sure its not an attitude of FortunateSon´s several years ago.
Remember your :: facepalm :: recently? And you say others are insultative?

Well, actually its a pitty you added me among others on your ignore list. I already started to enjoy commenting your frequent "misstatements" / overlookings / mistakes / evidently wrong opinions you showed in your posts. Even your last post is erroneous, inaccurate at least: there was never any insulting message from me. All what I posted, I posted here. Not via messages. Actually its you who is sending insulting messages to members ...
And I´m really not sure whether the "old FS" would lower himself for this.

But ok, its like it is.
For sure, ignore list is one of your wiser decisions. Better concentrate on discussing our hobby highs and lows than wasting time in useless discussions.

Oh, I almost forgot: Many thanks for nice picture of your hand pointing at your new model. Just two points:
- Color of your SH-3 appears to be somehow greenish on the photo - doesn´t look like very nice color providing its a real color of the model.
- Have someone ever told you have actually quite short fingers? Really . I tried hard and wasn´t able to make mine middle finger as short as yours in the same position as on your photo. Interesting finding .....
