nice pics. it flatters this release. i have this release and opened it yesterday. it's easily the worst of the air commander / xplus birds i have (and i have basically all of them). plenty of QA problems, lousy fit, uninspiring finish. Tampo lacking compared to previous air commander releases.

This is possibly the worst bit of diecast to join my collection this year and is a strong parallel to the last century wings intruder, which was likewise a terrible effort.

Goodness, I've been mulling over buying this this Phantom for some time now and held off because it's not an SEA model.
Glad now I bought Aviation books instead.....
Photo shows a brilliant bit of Diecast/Modelling though.

I have to agree with FortunateSon. Not to happy with this release, still don’t get why Air Commander went with the 3 piece canopy arrangement. Plus the nose on this plane seems to be strange looking with its shape, not correct.

Strange looking radome is one of the (very few) weak points of AC´short nose Spooks . Upper side is bulged too much.

Btw, where did you get your Airstrike Toys 1/72 Carrier Deck Diorama from?

I got the Airstrike Carrier Deck years ago. Shortly after that the company went out of business.
