Its a good year start for me.....ill take the credit ( or blame by some ) of suggesting to HM the pole sitting F-35C in Jan's poster.....and now this Feb poster 75th Anniversary JR F/A-18F....hopefully other suggestions will show up

Whoa. Big month! Nothing that falls into my collection criteria, but I really love that ghost camo on the F-16 aggressor. I'm also really happy to see the 1/72 P-40N return. The only one on this poster than doesn't really appeal is the Syrian Foxbat. I built a model of a Mig 21 in that scheme when I was a kid, so I have a soft spot for it. That Super Bug is glorious.
The 112 SQN is representative of the Hendon P40N (MKIV) GA-? in a desert scheme. The IWM, Hendon Museum has it wrong GA-? never carried the desert scheme. Never!
The RAAF 450 SQN P40 is a whif. And the only reason why HM announced this release was to beef up the manufacturing run of the Desert P40N (MKIV) to make it worthwhile.
The RAF P40N (MKIV) is all Tiger Hobbies, they ordered it.
All 239 Wing (RAAF 3 and 450 SQNs, RAF 112, 250 and 260 SQNs and SAAF 5 SQN) P40Ns (MKIV) wore the TLS scheme of Dark Green /Dark Earth over Light/Sky Grey.
The Desert schemed P40N (MKIV) is a myth.

They definitely got their decals direct from here:
Apparently there is a photo of the actual plane in Geoffrey Pentland's book, "The P-40 Kittyhawk in Service." That said, I don't have that book and I can't find the photo online. I can't confirm or deny your claim. That said, I like HM's P-40N tooling and I think this livery looks great. It's less appealing if it's not a real scheme though. However, to me, it looks like the pinup has a dark green background from when it WAS dark green/grey and that patch was left when the plane was repainted so that the pinup didn't have to be repainted. That could be a bit of fantasy though.

Yeah,..scalemates is probably the offending decals HM utilised.
Interesting comments. I guess the problem is the artwork has been applied to more than one P40,...including a MK III. Also OK-D has been applied to a number of 450 SQN P40s,.....again including MKIIIs. And they have had different artwork, such as a Kangaroo.
I don't have the book (but I do have some of his books) I have asked a mate who most likely has this book for info.

Sanity has prevailed,..the 450 SQN P40N will now be in TLS.
