Very interesting story .....

On March 27th, 1999 F-117A #82-806 became the first combat loss of a F-117A. Earlier that evening on the 4th night of Operation Allied Force, an unknown pilot assigned to the 8th FS took off from Aviano Air BAse, Italy using the calsign "Vega 31". This is one of the most sensational stories to come from Operation Allied Force.

I remember the story. That's when somebody stood in Belgrade with a sign in the hand, it wrote "Sorry NATO, we did not see it was invisible!".

Personally I'm waiting for the Black Bunny, and the Skunk Works schemed F-117's .... A bird tweeted to me they might be on the horizon for 2020

On another note, but F-117A related....just picked this up from an ETailer (not eBay or Amazon)....limited custom fantasy run from Franklin Mint 1/48 scale, done awhile ago.

Pretty An actual Nighthawk (bird) as a F-117A fantasy scheme....
