Default HA6007 Su-27SK Flanker, 6001, Vietnamese Air Force

Professionally painted.
Great attention to detail.

HM could go the "factory new" way and make upper and lower colors on the nose in front of LERX (almost) identical, as was on HM´s HA6007 artwork, and on picture below:
(wasn´t able to find images of Vietnamese Flankers when new, but this is the same scheme: See - almost no difference):

Or HM could go the "very worn" way and make upper and lower colors also identical on the nose as on the images below:

Either way would be fine, but HM decided to go the worst way: they painted upper half grey and lower half light blue just to make that ugly, incorrect, wrong, visible, huge, and overall Flanker´s look much disturbing horizontal front division line as prominent as possible:

And that on Syrian SU-35 HM at least tried to (partly) hide their negligent work by painting the small triangle below the division line with upper fuselage color? Why bother next time and give the same care to another Flanker with just the same congenital malformation?

Well done HM - another Flanker that is way below my desire to own...

Unfortunately, the same applies to the Red 93 HA6006 as the basic color schemes are identical:

OMG.

I see and hear where you're coming from, Ladia; but to be honest, I kinda like this bird. I'm not a big fan of gargantuan seams and whatever, but Hobby Master Flankers look kewel. Love its correct nose droop.

yep i agree, the flankers are damn nice, i am hunting for one atm, got the jc wings su27 and it was a bit disappointing (not like the mig 29 by jc wings.....never again), i would like the russian su27, i also found some, but flankers are the most expensive among the HM models

If you like HM Flankers then I can only envy you. And to tell the truth, I really do, believe me.
I don´t want to spoil joy to you or anyone else here, but unfortunately I´m on a different boat.
I like Flankers very much, really. I have more than 20 Flankers, but only few from HM. I simply cannot cope with its nose shape and with the front division line which is made horizontally instead of being drooped. In my eyes this detail spoils Flanker´s beautiful nose droop substantially. And there´s apparently something wrong with the whole nose shape too. Or with the length of the front landing gear, I´m not sure. But even when I´ve sent rare original Sukhoi factory blueprints to HM, even when I tried hard to convince HM to shorten front gear for more nose droop, even when HM prototype looked correct to me, everytime I look on final HM Flanker (27, 33, 35 ...) - it is crooked banana what comes to my mind, no Flanker. Even that small triangle which HM painted below the front division line on collectors requests is much too conservative for my eyes and should have been slanted bit more aggresively for more visible drooped effect.
Simply put: HM Flanker somehow doesn´t really look as a Flanker to me. I apologize. Maybe I have poor eyes, maybe I´m much too strict.
Or maybe not:?

And even that painted triangle on the nose, which can partially make Flanker´s look more drooped, HM "forgot" on SU-27 line incl. HA6001, HA6003 and HA6006 - see photos above. And problably on HA6401 SU-33 too, if no collector complains.

Both have other pros or cons, but purely in terms of shape is imho the most accurate Flanker from "unknown chinese manu" and from AF1.

Shortening the front gear seems to be a simple enough fix that will have it drooping slightly.

Not unlike their MiG-21 painting-under-the-windshield error, HM seems to repeat this blunder unless specifically pointed out on a release by collectors. Still, at least they do fix it when asked. Truth is, to get a good release of anything by HM someone has to baby sit it. As for the join on the nose, it's certainly one of the tooling's weak and incurable points; but it seems to be the way HM are going on many of their jets (F-15, MiG-25 etc.). I guess it's cheap.

Overall they're not perfect, but I like their Flankers far more than Witty's or AF-1's (I don't have "unknown Chinese manufacturer"). I am not looking for any more though. I'm out of room and patience.
