Does he ever smile? And doesn't that jet look eerily similar to China's stealth jet? Hmmm.

Oh, I found his smile....

The Su57 doesn't look particularly like either the j20 or j31. If anything, most people would say that the J31 looks more like the F-22, and the J-20, which appears to be a dedicated us carrier group / taiwan attacker with low frontal RCS and not much more, is its own thing entirely.

and yes, the su57 is clearly a warmed over evolutionary 4.5th gen su27++ with a large number of serious development problems. so, given how unambitious it is, it is telling that putin's russia can't even get that right. between the su57 debacle and the fact that the ssj100 is a total failure, well, those of us anyway who oppose the murderous, neo-fascist, aggressive-war waging regime there couldn't be happier.

vladimir putin continues to lie about the murder of this woman, a passenger on MH17.

Who was the young woman who was killed on MH17?

That was Elsemiek de Borst. If you google her story you'll find about his father and his anguish. Any male reading this can easily put himself in the shoes of that man. This is just one story out of 298, and really one story out of 13000+, which is the number of people killed in eastern ukraine as a result of the russian hybrid invasion. All tragedies. All needless, and all caused by a sort of waging of aggressive war by Russia that hasn't been seen in this form in Europe since the Nazis.

Don't get me wrong - no government is perfect. The US causes needless deaths in places, for example. But what sets russia apart is their willingness to lie about it so very blatantly and then to build propaganda on those lies. It's one thing to murder somebody like Elsemiek -- it's another to compound this by using lies about this to further political goals. Russia could have said "well, yes, we did this and we made a mistake and for this we are deeply sorry and will pay restitution. Honestly, we thought it was part of our campaign of invading for the greater good because of (reasons)." But they don't even do this. They compound tragedy upon tragedy, lie upon lie. Pain upon pain. And the vast majority of ordinary russians these days allow themselves to believe such lies because it flatters their adolescent need to feel important.

yeah i had watched her story on you tube, she was 1 of 193 Dutch Nationals that perished on flight Flight 17 (MH17).. very sad story indeed, in the video below the father speaks in Dutch but he says a lot of thing about his little girl, that she is forever gone, he has a lot of grief & sorrow, he kept her passport & boarding pass the only things he kept of her including her favorite watch, he wants everybody to know watching this video that his daugther was just a normal girl, his little girl.. towards the end of the video he wants to 'thank' Putin & who ever was responsible for murdering his only daughter.. at the very end he also talks about his daughter diploma ceremony which is not to be without his daughter and lastly he said that there is no future for him because his daughter was his future but she is forever gone now..

Very toughing story of a broken father who lost his only daughter in this horrible tragedy!

Tragic indeed. One can only hope that Putin and his thugs will eventually be held to account for their crimes (in Ukraine and elsewhere).

Until then, the West should economically isolate Russia - and maintain the military strength needed to deter Russian aggression.

We've been doing that for years, but Pres Chump is oblivious to real life. We the people want him out so badly. Please keep hope that we will vote in someone who knows how to run a country.

I hate talking politics, but Trump has single handedly (with Putin?) Managed to do great harm to our foreign relations. That's not what America is about. 🇺🇸

Keep your politics to yourself. Not the place. We're talking about a Russian jet, get over yourselves.

I think Russia was Russian around when designing and building this aircraft and didn't quite think it through. I could see the entire program getting scrapped.

Yes, politics do not belong here I agree. But we cannot bury our heads in the sand as well. If we do, then there will be no one to challenge and defeat the evil of the world. Peace, brother.

I suppose some politics is ok if ....in connection to the aircraft of topic. A general world view of politics, probably not so much IMO

This forum is after all a bit of a catch all forum not strictly dedicated to, let's say ..a 1/72 only forum like 1/200, 1/400 have their own.

Unless admin changes it....the word "politics" is written into what this forum contains...just saying.
