Default Witty wings, JC wings and Gemini aces

Hi all,

Small question, is that tree companies are basically is the same one?

I have in my collection in scale 1/72:
F-15i Israeli tail no. 234 by Gemini aces
MiG 29 Falcrum A 1521st Russian by JCW
F-15C Israeli tail no. 802 by Witty wings

I can swear that the two F-15 are the same and manufactured by the same manufacturer.

short answer: same company, no. same mould, yes.

long answer: gemini got witty to manufacture some of the models for them using witty wings' mould. due to some issues (copyright?) witty went belly up, jcw bought over their moulds and started producing models of their own. jcw also manufactures for herpa so what was once the witty-gemini tag team is now the jcw-herpa tag team. all different companies using the same mould.

Well, I have search for the Gemini aces Ra'am a long time, because it is very rare today and expensive, and to my opinion the overall look of the Gemini F-15 compared to HM is that the Gemini looks more realistic and precise.

Look for example to the pic below, all the spaces between the panels on HM are more noticeable and looks like a "toy" compared the Gemini which looks more like the plastic kits which made by a professional.
Also, much more smaller details in the Gemini compared to HM.

What you all think about it?

I've always though HMs Ra'am to best their best Eagle to date, probably still is in term of their on brand but yeah looking at the comparison, the Gemini version does make it look very toy like. Colours look too dark, the nose gear pretty average, no stencils and seams all over.

In fact the Gemini makes the HM look more like a Corgi with that many join seams

Yes, the real 234 aircraft colored number in more dark blue (like in the model), and it’s not a mistake.
Also, I saw this Ra’am in real life in a show couple years ago and authenticate it by myself
