Grumman makes a great F-14, I'd say close to perfect but good luck finding one now a days. Iran might have a few sitting around.

General Dynamic on the F-16 plenty just laying around in the Tucson desert. once again near perfect as well.

From what I understand McDonnell Douglas has got a great F-15 it does have the perfect record. And lucky for you, you can get the f-18's, yeah both of them from McDonnell Douglas also, see if they'll combine shipping for you on those

Difficult question my friend.
I have a lot of models and models can (and will) have issues depending on the manufacturer and good/bad luck. Sometimes models which should not have left the factory, even from "good" manufacturers, will land with collectors.

Here a short list:
F-14: Century Wings and Hobby Master. Calibre Wings, no idea because I don't have models from them. Century Wings the older releases are better (but hard to find and expensive).
F-15: Hobby Master (but there is some discussion about this). The Israeli Ra'am is, for me, fantastic.
F-16: Hobby Master but also Witty Wings has some nice releases.
F-18 and Super Hornet: Hobby Master and Witty Wings (the Super Hornet).

Hope this will help. Don't forget, a model stays a model. If you like a release, buy it. Only the real thing is "perfect".

IMHO:

F-14: Early "A", possibly Calibre, but they've only released one. Others, CW or HM depending on scheme.
F-15: None are particulary good, I'm waiting on a new tooling from someone.
F-16: HM or Gemini (Witty tooling but better finish).
F-18 "classic": HM
F-18 "super": HM

I would agree with this, and it’s reflected in my collection.

I would say I think the HM F-15E is ok, and Witty’s Superbug - or at least the second/third series releases thereof - are also pretty damn good.

I am actually meaning to get my act together and sell a bunch of CW Tomcats, some HM F-15Es & F-16s and a brace of Witty Superbugs, but whilst I would not ask the gouging prices one sees on eBay for some of these releases I think shipping from Australia would probably make your eyes water were I to offer them to you

I am only selling them as I lack space to display them and they don’t fit any of my main themes, not because I don’t like them: it’s a waste to keep them as they currently are packed in their boxes, within cartons in my storage space

The good news takeaway is that you can still find good early releases of these models though.

Happy hunting!

Whatever you do, don't get CADwings aka Calibre Wings because they are known for their fakery, poor QC and missing parts. Also they employ shills to promote their products with fake samples then production quality is rubbish
