Looks good! Can’t wait to get mine

BTW, if you host your images on a free site like imgur.com then add them as images (using the little picture icon next to the link icon above the text editor area) you can not only avoid the DAC attachment limit, but also your pics will be bigger.

nice dio set-up, monsieur chekur! and the mirror adds a touch of intensity of the work done by the crew onboard a carrier.

That's exactly how I set mine up as well, TSM 1:72 catapult diorama. I don't have any of the tugs yet tho.

Thanks, I will have to price it up, the cost in US$ might kill that right off

the pistons are bigger in diameter than the holes that are drilled for them - be ready to trim off lots of paint/plastic from each arm to make them fit. Since there's like 30 of them, it's tedious but it works okay. Might want to have some tweezers/needle nose pliers or something, they're packed pretty close together.

now that sucks! that really sucks. one or two i can overlook... but like 30? seriously?

monsieur chekur, did you also have the same issue? just wondering whether it could be a one off or the entire lot. sounds like the whole lot though...

Mine is not made by TSM. I got this carrier deck about 9 years ago from a company, Air Strike Toys, Dallas, Texas which went out of business. Its really a great piece, 16 1/2” by 11 1/2”, raised jet blast defector, catapult, hold backs, launch control dome with clear glass windows, open steam pressure hatch and 7 launch crew figures. You could get the deck and crew painted or unpainted. Price was around $100 for the painted set. It was supposedly designed after the #1 launch catapult of the Nimitz, Kitty Hawk and Forrestal class carriers.

thanks for the clarification, monsieur chekur. honestly thought the tsm dio looked that good that i would've given them a chance had it not been for the deficiencies monsieur jumper pointed out. guess i'll give tsm a miss unless some other collector's piece doesn't suffer from similar issues. doubt so though

So, I misspoke, it turns out I exaggerated the number of pistons for the JBD. It's only 18, 6 clusters of 3 (I couldn't remember exactly how many clusters there were and didn't look it up). To clarify, the plastic for the rams is a softer plastic than what is used for the JBD itself, and the holes pre-drilled into the deck material are smaller...for one or two, the pistons popped in with a satisfying pop, but for most of the others you risk breaking or deforming them if you force them. It only took me an hour or so, I just trimmed paint and plastic from each male-end-plug until they popped into place.

Looks like the Mule may have dropped them...it lists as sold out or discontinued

It's a nice little display, very close to the OP's. I'll have to double-check mine, but I believe the windows for the catapult operation center aren't transparent, unlike the OP's really nice display.

I'm just happy to have one, I think I snagged my shop's last one and I definitely got the last deck personnel pack.

Now I need to Frankenstein one of my CW reborn flaps-down F-14s, using the compressed NLG strut from my CalW Wolfpack bird to get a proper launch config with this display. If only Century had included the compressed strut!

They need to up their QA/QC game though. Mine arrived with a broke pitot tube and gap where the intake and fuselage meet on the left side. The material and color for the pilot changed too. Had to clean him up a lot since he looked more like a Witty figure than CW.
