New aquisition; and a sale
My local hobby shop is having a rather extended Columbus Day sale, with 30% off plastic kits and a whopping 60% off Franklin Mint 1/48 diecast.
They also had some Carousel 1 planes, and in an offhanded way I asked if they were on sale too - I think I blacked out for an instant when they said "yes!"
So, I came to and grabbed a grail of mine: Götz's FW-190D-13, NIB, for $46. Holy. Crap.
Now, I know none of you here know me from Adam, but if you want some of these planes, and more importantly feel you can trust me, I'd like to connect any interested parties to these models. A quick overview of what they have:
C1: Galland's 109E, Udet's Red 109, Barkhorn's 190D-9, Chinese AF P-40, silver P-36(Pearl Harbor?), possibly an F4F Wildcat, I THINK a Nieuport and a Fokker DR 1 from the Great War.
Franklin Mint: many. Three A6M Zeroes of various liveries, an unidentified Japanese floatplane fighter in green livery, 2 F4U Corsairs, 2 or 3 F6F Hellcats, I believe one F4F Wildcat, 2 or 3 Spitfires, 4 P-51 Mustangs in various liveries, 4 P-38 Lightnings, 2 or 3 in NMF. More I've forgotten, they have about 25-30 in all.
So there you are. It's 60% off of $110 for the C1s, and various prices for the Franklins, say $100 and up. If you like, PM me, and I'll see what I might be able to do.
And of course, pics or it didn't happen:
