Default Skruffy1 Code 3 of HA2910 Crazy Water Buffalo

(Old lurker posting under new account (old one doesn't seem to work))

I don't post any more and plenty of people do better reviews than I, but this was too good not to share...

...well, another day, and another tour de force from Skruffy1/Michael for your delectation.

I'll let the pics do the talking, suffice to say I am very, very happy with the result and will be pestering Michael with more requests when he can fit them in.

I've no idea why HM haven't got round to a properly togged-out VNAF Spad - it seems like a blindingly obvious choice to me (along with a Corgi AC-47 ).

Anyway, I lost patience and I'm glad I did. Having some concerns over weathering and the durability of the finish, Michael was able to reassure me by explaining his modelling techniques and I took the plunge.

Thanks again for this handsome beast Michael!!

Enjoy...

Michael sent me some pics of this during my recent discussions with him concerning a model he will commision for me in the coming months. Needless to say, after seeing this model among others, I pulled the trigger. I particularly love the exactly right shape of the exhaust staining on the model. A real cracker, just sublime...its awesome mate.

Wow Seb! This is truly humbling and generous, thank you. I'm glad she survived the long trip in good shape and I'm especially glad that you are happy with it.. That's what makes it worth doing for me. Good job on the pictures too! Thank you for patience and your business, it is appreciated more than you know. Feel free to contact me about future projects anytime.. As Andy stated there is a bit of a wait at the moment but you can reserve a spot at any time. Thanks again Seb!

Hi Michael

Praise where it's due!

I've got something in mind as it goes - I'll drop you a line over the weekend so I can get in the queue... well worth the wait!

Again, it's something blindingly obvious, from a major manufacturer, that just hasn't been done!

Glad you like it Andy!

Cheers

Seb

One of my biggest concerns when deciding whether to ask for weathering or not... and the first thing I checked when Michael sent me the photos - but as you say Michael nailed it!

One like this is long overdue from HM. As is the multi-seater version.

Wow thanks Andy! If I had an ego it would be getting bigger right now. This has been so nice to hear and such a confidence booster.. I'm always pretty hard on myself and my work so to hear you guys say these nice things is really inspiring. Thank you for your kind words.

That's beautiful. Makes me want to start doing a couple more code 3s but it just takes too much skill, time and patience. Perhaps in the future maybe. There are definitely undone schemes out there that I want in my hangar.

Very nice indeed Skruffy.

I'm just as baffled as everyone else as to why this scheme (or similar) hasn't been released yet by a manu, or the equivalent F-5E in VNAF colours.

Those two would look great together, though this just with the USAF Spads would be great by itself too

Thank you. Give it some time.. seems like the last 4-5 planes that I've done for people end up getting made shortly thereafter.. I'm sure it's just a coincidence but it's pretty annoying.. I want these guys to have unique 1 off liveries.. they pay good money for that. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks for the offer. Might consider it. You never know. But I've always like that feeling you know when you're finally removing the mask from the canopy when you're finished with the model and it finally looks the part as if all your effort finally paid off. Can't replicate that feeling
