Please post links to Hawkone's website.

To post the releases without doing so drastically affects traffic to his site, and risks losing his site as a reference to collectors.

Also these are October - Not December releases.

No worries, I'd already linked the poster, but have started changing the image links to his website.

I'll go through and do the rest shortly so the forum doesn't end up being spammed with too many doubles.

For those wondering what happened to the "Top Hatters" Release - that is a different tooling. This one is a dual seat F/A-18F . "Top Hatters" is a single seat F/A-18E

Actual aircraft.

I have asked William about blue sidewinder & he said the production will come with AIM-9X operational colour.

I'm sure we will see that one too, this is perhaps just the tip of the iceberg, so many nice schemes still to do...

Asked William about the loadout this release will come with. The answer is:
2x AIM-9X
2x AIM-120
2x AGM-88
3x Fuel tank
1x Targeting pod

Some nasty looking JDAM bombs would do the job but I'm not complaining at all, I'm sure we will see some bombs on future HM Super Hornets...

If I am not mistaken, dont the Hornets and Super Hornets use the same weapon stations? Chances are they might be interchangable for those that wish to have the Super Bug with bombs.

This is a nice release, but I would've preferred a version of the VFA-103 Super Hornet from their first Rhino cruise back in 2006-2007. Hopefully they release that somewhere down the line.

Looks good. It also looks like they have the correct cantered out weapons stations as per the real thing, the Aviation 72 / Witty? RAAF super Hornet I have does not canter the stations out, they are straight which although better looking is not realistic.

That's a fine-looking super bug.

Where is the signature seam line on the nose of the fuel tanks? Is this some kind of bait-and-switch?

Wow, I'm really impressed what i see, HM did it again, anything JR get's me going... it's like seeing a very beautiful woman for the first time at the beach in a casual bathing suit with all her makeup & her beach hat and to think that over time she just looks better the more you look at her, anyway that's what i'm seeing in any JR Diecast model, including this F/A-18F...

It certainly does appear that way, unless they figured out a way to not have seams since the early build, highly doubtful

They can hardly be faulted for this since the competition just makes the entire early build out of clay

Are you talking about the join line in the fuselage? I've noticed it in the pre-pro and I thought it would be another HMF-15 with an OP gap in the fuselage but I'm surprised how well this turned out. Not a Hornet expert but that looks incredible. I'm pulling the trigger on this one. I've been tempted to get Dragon's, Witty's, Gemini's, FOV's JRs on several occasions but I'm so glad I waited. Only thing I'm hoping for is that they up the production run for these if they're only thinking of producing a few. I think the first releases tend to get overlooked a lot in that it takes a few releases more before some plenty of casual collectors actually start buying it doves. It's a JR and I'm sure it'll do well and I'd hate it for some people who only decided later on to get one and missed out due to low production runs and their only option is the secondary markets with ballooned up price tags

That does look good. Not vastly superior to Witty's final one, but as good.

Nacelles are a better colour and I think the grey may be closer. More stencils on Witty's plus moving rudders. HARM's seem a bit of an odd choice, seems more apt for a future Growler, Witty's has 2 small smart bombs. Nothing in the intakes on Witty's, would be very cool if you could see compressor blades on HM's. In the end, I guess it comes down to how you like your panel lines and what's available at what price.

Anyone know why the air brakes (between the tailplanes) look so different? Did they change on the real superbug recently?

It's not airbrakes. Those things betweens the tails are ECS (Environmental Control System) vents. There are different versions of the ECS vents. HM's model seems to have the latest version.

Super Bug actually doesn't have airbrakes, they deleted the large airbrake from the Legacy Hornet. Outward canting of the rudders does the same function, same as the F-22.

As for a HARM payload, it isn't out of place, those aren't specific to Growlers.

Without a doubt, a great release from Hobby Master, and i do foresee getting more than just one SuperHornet. I wish the panel lines especially in the nose / cockpit area could be more subtle, similar to Witty's.
