Question CC-109 Cosmopolitan - Canadian Armed Forces

It may be a bit of a stretch to convince GeminiJets to do a retired Canadian Forces aircraft, but does anybody think there would there be a market for this bird? For those unfamiliar with the Cosmo, the CC-109 Cosmopolitan was a turboprop version of the Convair CV-440 Metropolitan. However, there was clearly at least one bird with the original engine configuration:

The turboprop version looked like this:

Any takers?

Can't say for sure whether there is a market or not but it certainly has a nice looking scheme. I definitely would buy one to go with my CC-130.

I have that CC-130 too. Also Hobby Master's C-54 North Star. And if someone would do an RCAF DC-3....

I'm a Cosmopolitan fan and a Convair fan so... yeah I'm in. I don't think it's that big a leap either.

Cheers

Well, the rest of the RCAF/CAF subjects seem to have sold well enough.

I have the Buff on order and have their Canforce -7 , CL-52 [in spite of Dan's valid comments] and both of the TCA and Air Canada Vanguards. Pricey but for me a suitable quality/price/rarity intersection to buy one or 2 a year. And I have talked Yukon with them ... if sufficient desire could be shown at tthe high price point.

No P-2 Neptune yet? That's a pretty bird. I always liked those.

It's actually a modified CV-440, as per the original post.

YOWguy, that grey P-2 would look fantastic next to a similarly painted Cosmo!

I tried to get that livery done when I heard the 'tune was inbound and was told that it would be that way. Cancelled the pre order when the blue flavour showed up on ARD, I keep lobbying though.

Thanks pointing out the CL52. I didn't have it on the RCAF/CAF diecast list I maintain. Will be added in the next rev.

Sky Classics SC142 DHC5 Buffalo Canadian Air Force 451 1/200
Sky Classics SC143 DeHavilland DHC5 Buffalo ASR Canadian Air Force 456 (yellow scheme) 1/200
Sky Classics XXXXX RCAF Augusta Westland AW101 (Merlin) - UNKNOWN

My bad on that - I meant to email you on that. They did a run of 5 units of the Cl-52 and with my passion for all things Avro Canada, had to jump on one. The other 4 sold within 24 hours and I have passed Dans comments on the wrong Leaf forward. Do you have their Dash-7?

I do. Thanks.

I amended my post above to include all I know.

I saw the Augusta Merlin once but can't find the original reference so it may not actually exist.
