I would definitely like to see this scheme. After all, HM did the "Peanut" scheme so why not? It would go great with my "Peanut", Euro and ho hum Grey (at least it is is the Blacksnakes)

From the link....

"Times have changed. The A-10 hasn’t always been so plain. One of the most obscure is the frosty-painted “Snow Hog” from early in the warplane’s career. This white and very dark green — almost black — Warthog flew for several days during Exercise Cool Snow Hog (yes, really) in March 1982."

Are you sure you want HM to attempt this "very dark green — almost black" ??....you do know that they have trouble with color's...getting a very dark green almost black color to do I think will be a impossibility for HM IMO.

But I could be wrong, they could have improved there coloring and painting

I think it's just EuroOne from the factory the author is talking about - WiB is occasionally interesting, but they aren't always the most accurate of sources. I take almost anything I read on that site with a pinch of salt!

Having said that, here's another WiB article about another model I would very much like HM to release in which the facts are accurate - this time about the A-26K Counter Invader as deployed to Thailand for missions over Laos.

I'm quite partial to the grey warthogs, they used to fly over my house in NH when I was in grade school. I kinda miss their routine flyovers (can't say the same for my neighbors though )

Would love to see that made. A-10s are a focal point in my collection.

Franklin Mint made one, scale 1:48, see number B11E196. I don't know how correct the colours are. But I have it and it is a nice model (totally different from the grey schemes).

Arctic camo versions of Corgi's Jag, Tonka and Buccaneer didn't sell very well. Would this one sell?

Ergh. The camouflage paint overspray is terrible in those photos. Totally unrealistic.

That's one I would like to add if it ever gets done. Be cool to have something different on display than the usual suspects (gray and Euro colored versions).

The SU-35 scheme below is Arctic-ish in colors....some call it the "Splinter" scheme. This aircraft no. 902 has been made into a 1/72 Diecast plane. Not sure how long it's been around or perhaps a brand new, or a pre-order, somewhere on this planet. I can only find the Chinese name of the company....no real website info yet to be found...help from someone on the forum would be appreciated. At first I thought it was AF1 model because of the stand base...but the part between the base and plane looks different from what I have seen coming from AF1...(I could be wrong)

The company name is Dongguan Humen Lichengda Mould and Metal Product Factory.....the Model Number is listed as KY10004

There's a companion F/A 18A.. 1/72 plane with the "Splinter" scheme made by HM Model Number HA3516 VFC-12 Fighting Omar's...read the description in the Flying Mule pic below to see the color scheme relationship between both planes.

Thanks In Advance (TIA)

BB

The Jag comes up now and then - I had a few opportunities to grab one and then I looked at the rest of my collection and decided against it, even though I do have the Norway Tornado and the Jag and Harrier would look great beside it

K...suit yourself.....perhaps then you'll be interest in this AF1 SU-35S...Splinter Camo...it's No. 21....not the No. 902 mentioned in this thread.....I can't find a reference actual pic of No. 21....but what the hay...it's got the Arctic-ish colors

Cheers!
