Default New F-15 paint model

Throughout the Air Force, painted planes make a quiet comeback

Not bad, I kinda wouldnt mind seeing the Oregon unit get a special HM version. I kinda dig this, would love to see someone paint a version of each jet in the world just for something new rather than seeing the standard grey units. A Su, Mig, Raptor, Tomcat, Falcon etc. Could be interesting to add to the collection

Stunningly beautiful scheme IMHO, don't know about anyone else but I'd jump on one of these in a New York minute.

Love the Oregon livery! Very rare to see a US military aircraft in such a colorful livery

I believe the Oregon livery was posted on another thread and some people really hated it.

These are my 3 favorite pieces of nose art from the link that Archangel provided:

It doesn't surprise me. Not everyone loves colorful liveries. Some prefer purely "business" looking military aircraft. For me, after 1-2 "business" looking models of a type, that's all I want. Colorful liveries though, I could go for quite a few and not get bored

Yeah, some people definitely do prefer lo-vis operational liveries. Most of my viper collection is that, but I have some aggressors on the way so that's a colorful addition.

I own the HA1603 Mirage NATO "Tiger Meet" 2003 and I still haven't rotated it in my collection yet. The green eyes keep staring at me.

I guess some people hate tweaking and over doing things sometimes. Its like cars, when Fast and furious 1 came out everyoneeeeee was decking out their cars with random colors, lights, wings etc. Its stopped now but I actually think anything can look good with the right combinations, just don't over do it. I like some plain simple markings on some jets, you have the greys, blueish greys then the cool artic camos, dessert camos etc. But I want every plane to have a custom squad marking, don't like the dull letters and numbers.

I think customising a squadron making them unique is good for any army in the world. In ww2, vietname etc they were used for moral boosters. Ground troops would see the plane and if you were a unit well respected and liked and had a great record they unit would charge and also feel safe knowing you are looking out for them. Bad for the enemy too sometimes they might see a deadly marking on a plane and think oh no its that ace hightail it out of here.

I would love for the airforce to use custom markings more, sort of have tier units like they do with the special forces. Recruit certain pilots have them want to get better to be the best of the best that wearing those markings is a symbol of your status. We know SEAL team six, delta, rangers etc why not have the same for planes like Reapers, Swordsman, Eagles etc etc etc
