Default Royal Canadian Air Force Collection 1:72

I'm pretty proud of my RCAF 1:72 diecast collection, and since I'm currently in Australia, it serves a nice reminder of home! Here is my humble collection that I wish to share with all of you!

Tracking down the CF-18, the CF-105 and the Canadian Spitfire was a very difficult ordeal. But I can happily say it was well worth it, as they are stunning!

(New thread, since the old one was a bit messy, limiting myself to two pictures per model in this one)

HA3502 Hobby Master CF-18 Hornet 425 Sqn. "Libya No Fly Zone"

FA727003 Falcon Models CT-155 Hawk 419 Sqn.

HA3704 Hobby Master CF-101B Voodoo 409 Sqn. "Hawk One Canada"

HA1060 Hobby Master CF-104D Starfighter 417 Sqn.

HA4303 Hobby Master CF-86 Golden Hawk

HA1524 Hobby Master Harvard Mk IV RCAF Primary Flight Training School

GARAF1001 Gemini Aces Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX RAF No.141 (Canadian) Wing

Stay Tuned CT-133 Silver Star and CF-105 Avro Arrow Incoming!

I was actually very lucky I found a single one on eBay. But mind you I had to search for about a week before finding one. I suggest searching on eBay. They pop up every now and then. Happy hunting!

Actually you've done quite well to find one in a week as the model sold out not long after release.

It was about 200 CAD (EDIT: I checked my ebay again and it was actually 150) , I think it wasn't too bad considering I like the model very much and that it was BNIB about 5 years after release!

I was really happy to find it! I'm currently in Australia and it wasn't that long until I found one BNIB!

Nice looking collection, great addition with the Arrow, I'm searching for the 2 Arrows myself.
Wow to think when these models were first released it was under $100 now if you don't have $300 +++ you don't have a chance.

Keep the pics. Coming nice to see the RCAF collection.

I'm still looking for RL 203, but not willing to pay the absurd prices that people are asking. Eventually I'll find a deal. I always do.

There's still a CT-133 on the way, I'll be posting more as I expand the collection

The RL203 really is a beauty, I would have preferred it over the RL201, however I didn't want to miss my chance at getting a Arrow if I passed up the 201!

hahaha. well yeah, it's a team effort so a shout out to dan too for hawkishly sifting through every single detail (i have no idea why but that spacing issue in "canada" on the starfighter seems to be forever etched in my mind).

p.s. anybody realised that the starfighters from this rcaf release onwards as featured in hmc's site has the main landing gear doors on wrong? the model has the inflight doors attached instead of the gears down doors (slightly ajar with the struts sticking out).

This just prove good helps are hard to find these days. If HM can't even spot the error in the photo shoot, I doubt they will ever improve their quality any more than what they can now.

Pete's collectibles has quite a few Canadian models on sale at super prices for his St Patrick's day sale. A great time for you to stock up on many you don't have yet.
