Default My WW2 Winter Whites

During WW2 on the "Eastern Front", both sides applied a water-based white wash over the normal camouflage of their warbirds to make them less easy to spot both on the ground and in the air. The white wash easily wore off while the planes were in action, giving many an unusual "weathered" look. I thought I'd share some pictures of my winter whites---as with my other threads, featuring a combination of diecast and plastic or resin models. Here's one of my favorites, Corgi's 1:72nd scale JU-52:

That's a really nice collection/theme. I'm very jealous of the Ju52 & He111 in particular as I looked at getting them myself, but in the end I went for the summer 'look' (AA36902 & AA33706).

I don't think my budget would stretch to doubling up!

I have got a winter scheme on a FoV Ju87B (UN85030). Not quite the same is it

Thanks, guys. Coming up next----once we digest the latest HM announcements----is a series of WW2 single engine attackers.
