seeing a C-130 hercules in 1/72 diecast would be great to see in the future....with so many countries having the aircraft in their inventory.....it would be a big success and a big seller.....

I'd certainly be interested in an AC130 Spectre/Spooky/Ghostrider/Stinger II !

Rather pleased the B58 is doing so well. In 1:72 it would be the most spectacular model since the SR71.

As a kid I built an Italeri AC-130 in 1/72. That was a decent size for the Gunship. Wouldn't mind one in die cast though!

Wow, YOWguy, it had to be heroic work! Just thanks for it and for what you´re doing for our hobby - your survey could really be a basis for diecast producers.

The more I have to draw your attention to the fact, that you completely omitted one of the greatest and most attractive aircafts ever, aircraft which was zillion times discussed here / on all diecast forums, aircraft which is literally hunted by collectors, aircraft which some are capable to spend hundreds $$$ for, aircraft which was never made right in diecast, aircraft which we desperately NEED!
You forget THE FLANKERS!

And not one Flanker - complete Flanker family is missing:

Sukhoi Su-27
Sukhoi Su-30
Sukhoi Su-32
Sukhoi Su-33
Sukhoi Su-34
Sukhoi Su-35
J-11
J-11B
J-15
J-16

and of course Sukhoi T-50

Can you please correct this as soon as possible? And can you "open" the survey again for those of us who already responded? Just to give this iconic bird same chance as the others have. Thanks.

Note your comments. As of right now there are 23 replies to the survey. The quandary I have is I cant do an "only 2 completions", it is 1 or infinite per user. IF I go in and do a reset, all 23 would have to come back and re do the survey. There also were ome interesting other suggestions from those who did the survey for 'next time' airframes. FYI - the Su-34 is on and has about a 26% want number [which is good], it is tied for 5th

I think I will leave the survey as is for 24 hours BUT if the comments here are yes, add in the new ones, I will delete some of the non voted for airframes for others, I will do the reset likely on sunday.

I also want to point out the list was made based on other peoples suggestions .

Ok, if you´ll search all those numerous threads / replies about Flankers, you´ll see it clearly.

One more remark: there are also some planes in the survey, which are very attractive though, but since they are sometimes in only just one prototype, will be "less financially attractive" for producers. (e.g. no chance for production in diecast) - producers prefer aircrafts with lot of variants / types / users to make maximum use of very expensive casting mould.

And - if you want - you can also consider the size of the planes / models. Some planes are very big in 1/72 scale, which results in expensive production, high packing / transport costs, high retail prices, problems with displaying and poor sales volumes, and producers consider such models very carefully.

Looks like you have lot of hard work ahead. Be strong! Good luck.

All of these suggestions would be great to see in 1/200, but everyone skips the Russian heavies, including the bombers. So far, only the An-24, An-12, Il-76, A-50 and Tu-95 have been done. So many other great aircraft yet to do.

Two points, I have to put a lot of effort into building the survey, I am not going to troll other threads for ideas and said badically the first 200 suggestions to me get included. Second. THIS survey is for 1/72. The 1/200 list is still open for input to the 200 max listings - http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...wish-list.html.

If there is a strong demand for a one off or prototype, the manufacturers should know.

Actually, going by your first post, I read 1/200. There was no clear statement I read where this was 1/72, sorry. Also, you listed the de Havilland Vampire, which has already been done by Corgi in 1/72. Others have listed the Fairy Gannet, F-5 and EE Canberra, which have also been done in 1/72. Third point, you don't have to take my suggestions, I just pointed out that there is a dearth of Russian heavy aircraft represented in any scale, but 1/200 seems the most practical. And I didn't read your plug-ins, just perused the posts. Really, I'm not trying to upset the applecart here.

Just because a model is done, does not mean it is done in all desired liveries. There is no way under the sun I will do an all molds all liveries survey because, as exemplified here in this thread, there is the 'you should have included this" situation. T!his is why a number of airframes are on the lists.

The process is, chose an airframe, if lot of people want it, then specify liveries and pick out the high hitters. Be it coincidence or related, some of the recent 1/200 airliners liveries that were top in the surveys are now announced, ie Lufthansa retro 747-800.

If you havent seen it, I ran a set of surveys culminating in 100 people choosing from 200 molds as to what they would like to see in 1/200. Results are here - http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...#post1185834.1 I an trying to military focus the next 1/200 one but if there is low interest in giving input, I wont put effort into it.

What I am going to do, after some reflection is to make a supplemental survey so those who have already done the existing dont have to do a redo. I will likely post it Friday SO if anybody wants to see a new 1/72 model done, be it never made or needing a new mold. list it in this thread. I dont want the livery, that comes later. List by Manufacturer and designator without versioning as shown below:

Sukhoi Su-27
Fiat G.91
Douglas TA-4

I guess this deserves being in the previous thread of new schemes..not new Models.

Hobbymaster's JU-87.

Now don't me me Wrong, its an excellent kit, but some of the Schemes are Bizarre. I am trying to find a GERMAN JU-87D-3 Dive Bomber. There are only 3 of 9 planes that have German markings and all 3 are impossible to find.

Could we possibly get a few more options?

not trying to rub salt in the wound, but if you can find the 'pervomaisk, ukraine' stuka from hm, jump on it and even pay a bit of a premium for it. it's a superb bit of diecast that just seems to have been ignored by the collector community. note the hobbymaster blending/mottling too. I also personally like HA0129 which is beautiful.

That said, there are still plenty of dragon and corgi stukas out there, which are pretty decent.

i personally can't fathom why we haven't seen an all yellow postwar USN/USAF/ANG-type t-6 texan scheme. An obvious split run candidate

OK, here are links to the existing ~200 aircraft surveny and the new ~50 additional aircraft surveys. IF you have done the original already, just do the supplement, there is no overlap in content. So far, 32 people have done the "part a". My plan is to run until the end or April or when each of the 2 get 100 replies [limit of the free system]. I will do a 'go around' weekly just to refresh the posting in the queue.

Original Survey - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KW7D26B
Supplemental Survey - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QTPCHB6

So now you've got your survey, what's going to happen with it? Are you going to present it to HM, or will they get in touch with you, or is this jsomething you're going to suggest to all manufacturers?

I think the idea Richard is that there will be further surveys to 'zero in' on the particular models to be pitched to manufacturers?

I will a)post the results here; b) forward them directly to the manufacturers I have established contacts at [HM is one] and c) blind send to manufacturers who I have contact info for but who have not established contact with me. Having said that, some manufacturers are hard to find...

For popular ones, and the EA-6B is way in front, if desired I could do a what livery do you want survey but they are only as good as the info I get from you guys.

Again my deep appreciation for your survey, Ralph, it must have been lot of work.

Good news about EA-6B, it´s my favourite bird, but still cannot help myself:
3,141 views means probaly 3,141 votes. Of course have no idea about Sukhoi´s final result in your survey, but if you make a simple search here on DAC - "Prowler" has 64 thread results. Make the same search on "Flanker" - 150 thread results. More than Vigilante, more than SR71 and more than many other models from the survey. For me its just hard to settle with the fact that such an important aircraft deserved only "additional aircraft" status, and this probably just for forgetting to include it into original survey.

Moreover I realised that dividing Flanker family into many very similar models lessens the numbers of votes for each model, so as a real minimum I ask you to join Sukhoi votes into similar airframes like:
Su-27/33/35/J-11/J-11B/J-15....(single seaters)
Sukhoi Su-30/J-16...................(twin seaters)
Sukhoi Su-32/34.....................(side-by-side seaters)
Sukhoi T-50

Thx

Going around again. As Dan has said elsewhere there is a long lead time before models are announced. William told him of the S-3 and EA-6 which were announced today, last September and given the one year timeline from 'lips' to 'ships', there may not be any obvious influence on new molds for a while [if at all].

A 1/72 or 1/48 Aichi M6A1 Seiran please! Being as there was no such beast included, I've gone for the other Aichi instead, happy to see either!

Finally went through and voted. Glad to see some of my insane suggestions made it through, though I had a method for my madness. I looked through the list of most produces airplanes on Wikipedia, and saw so many on there that have not been made

I must be getting senile. Totally off the wall, I just thought of these...
...and, I seem to have a habit of bringing back dead topics.
F-89D Scorpion.
A-37B Dragonfly.
