Damn, that Oregon ANG bird would be an instant buy for me. What an awesome livery. I'm adding that to the "hope it's made" list.

Well you asked for ideas for HM to build .... That's the whole idea of this thread or am I wrong ? It's the 75th anniversary of the Oregon ANG and the 173rd FW @ Kingsley Field put this livery on their flagship bird .... So tell them it's g-hay

Well, I doubt I'd buy that particular F-15 scheme as it doesn't fit into any of my collecting categories, but hurling childish pejoratives at the suggestions of others is, at the very least, unproductive as well as embarrassingly exclusionary. Did I get off a the wrong stop? Is this DAF or something?

I find myself more intrigued too, though the map of Oregon on the inside of the fin looks a bit like a newspaper that's blown there on the wind. It's actually a pretty attractive scheme.

Appears HM have already done a "similar" scheme:

I have the exact opposite opinion. I can dig a high vis tail like that but on a more plain/traditional paint. The whole feathers and eagle thing is too much for me.

If it will sell though why not...

On the contrary, they have done some "risky" schemes before, Passion Wagon P-51, Quanto Costa P-39 and to some extent, even the Miss Plainfield P-47 could be said as risky by 1940's standards

My pick would be Raid Hot Mama

It's a problem more with available decals then choosing a risky subject

I'll collect anything in WWII 1:72, but I've only got one, a HM USMC SNJ-3 Texan based out of Quantico VA. There is another Texan I will be picking up shortly, its the AT-6 based in Penescola FL NAS. Its the Silver/Yellow scheme which looks really good.

Other than that, I don't think there are too many USCG schemes out there for WWII, but it would make an interesting subject for say a Corgi PBY or a PB4Y.

I have the Korean War Taxan and it's a very nice model, the two you mention would be my next two picks out of the 20 odd made.

I don't think there are any for USCG but a few models in the grey and white scheme, I'm interested to know if anyone collects these as a theme ?

It always exasperates me to see repeated calls for HM to do huge planes like the B-29, B-52, B-1, B-2, & various giant Russian bombers, when it's been pointed out time after time that any of those are miles too big for HM's tool size limits.

Hi everybody! I'm a long time collector and a DAC visitor. Time to start interacting here with all of you who shares the same passion for collecting!

I'd like to see more camo MiG-15 from HM. Their last effort with the PLAAF J-2 was awesome but I still hope for another North Korean MiG besides their night fighter scheme.

A nice suggestion is one of the MiG-15 flown by Simon Fedorets, an ace with 7 kills including perhaps one of the most famous dogfights of the Korean War, when - according to some sources - both Fedorets and Capt. Joseph McConnell shot down each other in a close quarters combat over MiG Alley.

A quick research in web gives us some details about this scheme:

"While Fedoretc flew the MiG-15bis with tail number "393". This machine entered the regiment in silver and already there was painted in camouflage colors: top - green spots, brown and sand colors; Bottom - Blue. Unified standard for color machines did not exist, so all "MiGs" regiment had one and the same set of colors, differing from each other only in pattern camouflage. The Number "393" was red, without edging. Identification marks (Korean) placed in 6 positions: the fuselage, above and below the wing. wheels were green."

Most of those who call for giant planes want them in 1/72, though- even though it's no secret that any such planes are too big for HM's tool size limits.

Welcome to the forum Adalzeu, we could use some new blood on here

I like your suggestion very much, surprised I'd never came across it myself.

After 8 MiG-15's and 14 MiG-21's, I had to say no to anymore silver schemes but Camo is always welcome

Just looking at Hawkone's website made me realise just how little Camouflaged Mig-15's are available. I'd love to buy a Mig-15 to join my "Mig Mad Marine" Sabre flown by John Glenn.

That Mig-15 would look great in my collection if HM release it. A great option if they are planning a new release anytime soon. HM do need to focus on camouflaged options, especially with eastern aircraft.

Hello everyone,

How about some HAF releases?
I would love to see the following from HM in 1/72:

F16C Block 52+ adv
F16C Block 52+ adv (special demo team ZEUS)
F5
A7 corsair II (camo scheme)

On top a re-issue of the Mirage 2000 would be more than welcome but I have understood there are some license issues..

regards

HM aren't big on re-issues so even if they sorted out the licensing on the Mirage 2000 it would have to be a new release, seems unlikely at present. The A7 also seems unlikely given CW, and Witty/JC/Herpa could still release some (admittedly unlikely for CW!) and it would require a new mould for HM.

You may stand a better chance with the F16's and F5

I think I've seen this discussed before on a previous thread, and there is probably a reason why it isn't currently being discussed, but a UAE Block 60 F-16E/F would appear to be a popular release if HM decided to do it.

These F-16's, although only serving in the UAE Air Force already have rich history. They've conducted operations against Daesh in both Libya and Syria. And I may be wrong, but I believe they have also conducted operations in Yemen as well.

The camouflage is also very unique, and its probably one of my favourite camouflages to be worn on a front-line F-16.

The HM mold of the Block 52+ Vipers look really good and I believe are popular. So I don't understand why they haven't decided to release a UAE Block 60 Viper.

Apparently they'll have to create a whole new mould which is why they haven't done it. I would definitely by this without hesitation if they decide to produce it.

On closer inspection of the Block 60 variant, I've noted that the E/F Vipers house an IRST Sensor at the front of the cockpit before the nose. (Noted slightly to the left in front of the pilot on the picture below)

Also, further down where the tail is located, there also appears to be a sensor on the right side, and some kind of of RAM jet intake on the top side just before the tail.

I'm not sure what these two components may be (I'm only guessing), but so far I cannot find them and the IRST on any other F-16 apart from the E/F.

This may be the reason why they need a new mold for this variant of F-16.

They also should consider more Soviet options- they've only ever done one Korean war Soviet one, & you can't get it anymore- crazy for a plane that was made by used by the Russians! The red air display release doesn't count, as it isn't a warbird.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I would love a RSAF F-15SG. The modification necessary to produce this around the RWRs at the tail is common to other advanced Eagles versions, so its cost could be amortised across a number of releases..

There are still a number of unrepresented USN MiG-killer squadrons too (notably VF-142, VF-161 in MiG-killer markings, non-CAG VF-51 MiG-killer, VF-33, VF-103.. and the list goes on..) which would be nice, as well as different period markings for most squadrons, though TBH if HM left them to AC I would be more than happy

Linebacker I/II EA-6B Prowlers from (IIRC) VAQ-132/133 would be great, plus another combat cruise Vigilante (only the first release was actually a combat scheme..) and there are still a bunch of cool A-4 schemes, both USN and USMC as yet unreleased.

A 1/200 AC-47 Spooky would be great, and could the Lockheed Electra not be turned into an Orion? AFAIK there are no early Orions made by anyone, only fairly recent schemes being produced so far by IF200 for example. One of the "Black Bat" spyplane schemes would be very neat IMO.

VNAF (South Vietnamese AF) schemes are basically non-existent thus far, despite the great A-1 and F-5 (both A models - which could be adapted from the new T-38 mould - and E models) schemes to choose from. Also "Farm Gate" A-26s.

A Combat Archer (first, pretty much disastrous combat deployment from '68) F-111 would be nice too.

Finally for Vietnam types I must mention yet again the F-105G Wild Weasel, F-100F Misty FAC/Wild Weasel, A-26K Counter Invader, "Fat Face" A-1Gs and RF-101 Voodoos (ironically never released despite being the only Voodoos to actually see combat while countless boring twin tubs that only ever spent their time tooling around practicing for action that never eventuated have been pumped - surely it's time to retire the F-101B nose section in favour of an RF by now?).

Also a properly done Growler would be great, especially one in RAAF colours.
