Default HA1318 A-10 w/ a suu-25 and lau-131 (OEF load)

Hello guys. Been looking for a suu-25 and a lau-68/131 rocket pod in 1/72 and I couldnt find one over here. Ended up scratch building them instead. Not the best looking ones but I can finally display it in a standard OEF load.
Quite pleased with it.

Edit: Changed some pics. This time without the main landing gear door, and with the in-flight landing gear installed

I like your pilot. Did you repaint him or purchase him in the after market?

Awesome setup Tim. Do you happen to have any pics of the stand by itself, or the underside of the plan onto the stand? Curious to see how it is that you modified the SU-27 stand. I'm about to get this A-10 model myself and was looking to mount it on something better than the stock HM stand that comes with the model.

Hi Tim, the white stuff between stand and model - that´s a piece of cotton wool?
What´s the reason? It has something to do with Witty stand modification or you just save the contact area on the model with it?

Is it common this kind of protection?

Hi ElementalWeapon. Thanks. I took these shots awhile ago. Forgive the quality. It's not very clear. I personally wouldn't recommend this. It was a trial and error doing this and I ended with some minor scratches for the model. You might have better luck though but again I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks Ladia. You are correct. It's cotton. And you are right, it has something to do with the contact area where the stubs are as you mentioned. Helps minimize scratches and it tightens the fit too. I don't know if it's common to do this but I also put cotton for my other witty stands.

Design is ugly to be honest IMHO, sorry , don´t show to Philippe Starck.....

But I think Tim clearly went functionality over style...and probably it really works.
I understand that using some smooth thin black foam rubber instead of white cotton wool increases risk of colouring (yellowing) contact areas over the time.

...if there would exist any flat, black, white or transparent, absolutely non-colouring non-slip soft and thin material!
