Default Requesting a small favour!

Could someone please post a picture of a WWII fighter plane in 1/72 and 1/48..
Next to a real world item... a shoe, spoon or whatever, as so I can get a real idea of size....

Thanks

I don't have any WW1 fighters in the 1:72nd scale however HM's P-26 in 1:48th is just about the same size as most WW1 fighters in that scale. Here's a shot comparing a 1:48th scale HM P-26 with Amercom's copy of the same model in 1:72nd. As you can see, the 1:72nd scale version is rather tiny:

Epap1:

From looking at 1/72 scale online.. it amazes me how much detail they can get in such a small unit...They look bigger then they are.

Ordered a Corgi bf 109 Erich Hartmann 1/72 (winter camo) to start my collection off... I liked that it can be displayed with landing gear down or in flight.

An excellent choice. The new Corgi Bf109G is an excellent mold. Their older ones and Spits leave much to be desired.

You may want to look for a Dragon P-47. They are excellent, but no longer being produced. The supply is starting to get very limited.
