There's also Oxford to add to your list. I'd rate Dragon as the best casting, by a slight margin, but the ring antenna behind the cockpit is missing on its birds which gives the nod to Corgi----in my opinion. IXO and its clone, Warmaster are a weak third but I don't have either a Unimax or Oxford ME-262 and can't comment on them save to say that, judging by other products from these brands, I am skeptical about their quality.

I have a Easy Models Me-262 which isn't bad and at a quarter the price.

But I don't think you can go wrong with a Dragon Me-262, Corgi's looks good but not much detail.

Happy hunting

Thanks for the advice i already have an oxford me-262 and it is pretty good for its price and has no discernable faults.

THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO CORGI ONES AROUND so the must be good, as for my choice i currently looking in this order

1. Corgi (if i can find)
2. Dragon
3. Unimax

Aiken has quite a healthy amount of ME 262's, corgi's included. Too bad the shipping might be a deal breaker

The problem I have with Dragon is their refusal to print a swastika on the tails of their German models. C'mon, this was a distinctive feature of those aircraft, hateful as it is, and it's like driving a Rolls Royce without the hood ornament...or a better analogy, it's like a Ku Klux Klan lynch party without their white hoods. Anyway, you get what I mean...

Hobbymaster ran into this recently as well on one of their models, I guess it's somehow forbidden by Chinese export laws? HM's go-around was to make the swastika a decal instead of being printed on.

Actually not quite correct.

Hobby Master now prints the swastikas on the model - but places a water soluble decal over top of the swastika. All you have to do is use a warm cloth to remove the decal to reveal the swastika.

Oh yeah, I was referencing this...

An interesting bit of news - Hobby Master went to ship models as usual when
they were told by the Chinese Customs Department that models displaying the
swastika cannot be exported. So the shipment had to be returned to the factory.
Hobby Master has come up with what I consider a brilliant idea, water soluble
decals. All you have to do is take a damp warm cloth and wipe the decal off
revealing the swastika. This is creating a delay because each model has to be
removed from the packaging, have the decal applied and then repackaged.

This is my reason for not collecting Dragon 262s (or any of their Luftwaffe collection).

I have 3 Corgi 262s and they look great.

Theres a simple answer to that one. Just go to a hobby store and buy a sheet of WW2 German decals. I've done that with all my models that lacked the swastika. Interestingly, I believe its illegal to sell or display a swastika in Germany and if you buy a model kit there, the swastikas have been carefully snipped out of the decal sheet.
