Default Hobby Master HA3307 Northrop F-5E Tiger II Austrian Air Force 2004 J-3033

SCALE: 1/72
MANUFACTURER: NORTHROP
MODEL: F-5E TIGER II
SPECIFICATIONS: AUSTRIAN AIR FORCE 2004 J-3033
BRAND: HOBBY MASTER

---

A Merry Christmas gift for me! I browsed several F-5E Tigers out in the market today, and though I know there are alot of other and far more desireable liveries available for the F-5, this is what I want. For some reason, I fell easily for the red and white roundel of the Austrian Air Force which is reminiscent of the Swiss Air Force. Coincidentally, I think I remember somewhere that this aircraft is under lease by the Swiss for temporary use of the Austrians (?), If I am mistaken, please correct me without hesitation...

Anyway, the aircraft's overall appearance is what I like the best... From the aircraft's slender shape, minute dimensions (compared to other modern day fighters), mild camo, and vivid air force roundels... What more can I ask for?

I can tell that this is not going to be the only F-5E Tiger in my "desktop air force"... Hopefully, I'll see another bunch of F-5s to suit my taste!

Enjoy the result of my most current photoshoot!

Typical, "SweptWings" afterburners-on photo edition...

And a new photostyle to add today...

Thanks for Looking!

Nice. I like how the pics are focused from nose to tail. Love the last one.

You're right, Austria leased 12 F-5 Tiger of the Swiss Air Force from 2004 to 2008 to close the gap between the decommissionig of their Saab Draken and the arrival of the new EF2000.

Thx for posting you great pictures. Really love the last one. It makes the model look so real

Not cool guys. While I do somewhat agree, it's not helpful to state as much in this thread. We should encourage everyone to share their photos and opinions and be supportive of those that do share. The last thing we need is drama around here. Best handled in a PM imo.

SKF is not going to be able to buy every model released... aha, a challenge!

We have some great photographers who share different methods and opinions with us here. We should always be thoughtful of the time and energy that members take to share their view of this hobby and help others give out their credit card info to our great retailers.

I don't think any offense was meant by the above comments, I just thought I would stick my foot out and see if it goes in my mouth.

Thanks for the warm reply. I am okay with that, though I have to admit, I am more of a presenter and an artist. SKF, in my opinion, is good in making reviews with photos that are well lit and consistent with every aircraft model he gets. He's a walkin' product catalogue, I think -- and it is clear to me now, that he does good achieving his goal making this forum a reference material for collectors. SKF can detect flaws in a model that I very often overlook or don't mind at all...

I, on the other hand, would like to present models in a way we can make believe these models are the real thing. It is the main reason why I buy diecast models... It's because I wish "I had the real one but can't..."

regarding ways of taking photos....its just not so nice giving negative remarks or the one that makes one such negative remark should present his own beautiful pics and see what come out of it...perhaps he makes the best pics ever...who knows....but for the rest....lets respect each others way of taking pictures and present it here in the forum....theres a saying...beauty is on the eyes of the beholder....the easiest thing in the world is to critizice....some guys here makes negative criticism as tho they can do it better.....lets try to be positive and keep cool in this forum....otherwise, there are other forums where they could pin you down with such nonsense remarks....just my 2cents....

Great photos swept, I've always liked this scheme.

Yes, let's keep the drama to a minimum.
