Corgi B-25 is a nice model. Hopefully they will make more after the release of Ruptured Duck. I've yet to add a Lancaster. They look great in your pics.

HA1922 McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. This was purchased from a UK retailer and, bizarrely, the plastic blister packaging was so shrunk and warped it looked like it had been exposed to some pretty intense heat. Thankfully the model itself was undamaged, love the scheme.

HA1918 McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. This Hellenic Air Force version is my personal favorite scheme, I think it looks fabulous. Possibly my favorite model of all. A big thanks to gobert for the heads-up on where to find this one.

Just for your information, the Greek F-4E wears the same camouflage as the Greek F-16C/D,

Thanks for the info, I was aware of that because I've been tempted a few times to get Witty's series 2 HAF F-16 [link]. But after reading your post I wanted to see some images online and it really does look great on the F-16. Was also interested to learn that Greece was the first country to operate F-16 Block 52+.

Although that model is better than the series 1 version, I'll wait and see if Hobby Master produces a couple. I think there's a good chance that they will.

Thanks for the compliments Scott. I agree with you on the Devastators, one of my absolute favourite aircraft and a very nicely done model. My only complaint is the one-piece canopy. It would have been great if, like the Helldiver and Dauntless, it had sliding pieces and a moveable defensive machine gun.

Nevertheless, I hope to get every release so far and see a good few more in future (especially a USS Enterprise blue-tailed version). Reminds me that there were also once rumors of a Vindicator, wonder if that'll ever eventuate.

Postscript - while googling that image which I had seen in a magazine, I came across this really great thread. Apologies if it has been mentioned here before.

Thanks CP, I appreciate the compliments. I was thinking the same thing about B-25s after Ruptured Duck was announced, which to be honest I was quite surprised about seeing. Hopefully, their willingness to resurrect a mold which hasn't been used (to the best of my knowledge) for 5/6 years also bodes well for B-17s. I know they've said that there are no plans for another B-17 anytime soon but hopefully the Billy will be a great success and lead them to reevaluate that.

I took a long time to get a Lancaster but then got two in quick succession, and I hope to add Johnny Walker too. What I'd really like to get is the 617 Sqn U-boat pen raider in the daylight bombing scheme for variety [Corgi AA32616 - Lancaster Diecast Model, RAF No.617 (Dambusters) Sqn, Johnny Fauquier: The Flying Mule].

Almost done with my collection so far. One more each from Skymax and Falcon, the disappointing Bearcat and the borderline Storch.

Followed by the infamous Witty Javelin and the somewhat dubious Su-27.

IXO's Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden is a nice model by IXO/Altaya standards, I plan to get all the IXO 1:72 Japanese types not available in premium diecast.

Rounding out the 1:72 collection are the plastic Easy Model gap-fillers.

I have many Model Power and Easy Models still left from the days when I was just starting out, which I'll spare you. I just thought I'd include the only one I still display, and which I know many will agree with me really deserves to be made in 1:72, Model Power's Northrop P-61 Black Widow.

I have just a few Formula 1 cars and road cars which may be of interest to some and which I'd like to share with you here. All are 1:18 scale. I'm particularly interested in Grand Prix cars of the 1930s, and F1 cars of the 1950s, 1990s, and 2000 to the present. It seems like most of those of the 30s and 50s are only available in 1:43, any help in finding 1:18 would be appreciated. Would also like to have some Champ Cars and IndyCars, anyone know if they are available in 1:18?

Red Bull Racing Renault RB7 (Minichamps)

Renault R26 (Hot Wheels Racing)

Mercedes MGP W02 (Minichamps)

I don't really want to start collecting road cars as well, but I would like some examples of my favourite types. My favourite of all below, the Datsun 240Z.

1971 Datsun 240Z (Maisto)

1970 Datsun 240Z (Road Signature)

1971 Jaguar E-Type (Road Signature)

I collect cars as well but not really into diecast racers. I do know Exoto and CMC make 1:18 classic racing cars. You might want to check them out. Beware they are high end and come with a very expensive price

Yeah like carbon said, Exoto and CMC for older GP cars but very expensive. The Champ and Indy cars are easier to find and less expensive . Look at UT Models from 10-12 yrs back for older Champ cars they made them and more currently Action Models make all the current stuff over the last 12 yrs.

Thanks a lot for the compliments. My photos are nothing compared to yours though but I try my best. Wish I had decent display cabinets but haven't found anything suitable yet, can only display a small theme at a time right now (see below).

Time for an update. My collecting has slowed down a lot lately and starting to focus a little more on quality over quantity (with some exceptions), so here's what's new.

In the interim I'm using an old antique cabinet which was lying around, before I find something more suitable. Works okay for now since I fitted LED lighting, and good for a limited themed display.

Nice display Nico. You've been busy.

I like the wood grain shelves. Great century series lineup and British collection. Love the Mirage 2000. I have 2 and wish they would release some more. The Dr.1s are nice as well. I'm impressed with Corgi's WWI collection, even if they are 1/48.

Sweet pictures of a nice collection! It seems to grow fast :-)
Really like the lighting on your profile shots with shadows and that kind of gradient at the edges. It adds some sort of retro look atmosphere to the pictures :-)

Thanks Scott. I agree with you on the 2000, hoping to see UAE, Indian and maybe even 2000N/2000D versions in future. Been well impressed with the few Corgi WWI planes that I've acquired, even the faulty AA38301. Hoping to get at least one of each, especially the rare AA38901. Hope we'll see a new mold in the next catalogue with the 100th anniversary.

Thanks rpedro for the compliments. I'm hoping to add more modern types but since I'm much more into the older stuff that's where the priority has been. Nothing against the newer types though, so I'd like more F-22s for example (especially since I only have the first release which wasn't great quality wise). I guess the real reason I don't have more is that I'm waiting for HM to produce the F-15E and F/A-18E/F, and someone to make a better quality Typhoon, Rafale, Gripen etc rather than go for what's out there. Will get some of the upcoming F-35s too.

Many thanks Braggel. It's growing, and still so much out there! The lighting effect was actually a bit unintentional, the product of focusing a spotlight on the centre of the plane, but I like it so will keep doing it .

One of my favourites! Good to hear its still around. Can't wait to get HA3350 to go with it.

Some of the recent additions:

Was very happy to get these two rare MiGs from a retailer:

Been on a bit of a mission to get some Dragon P-51s and P-47s. Would like to have them all eventually.

The current P-47 fleet including the Corgis. Think it's time for Miss Mary Lou to go though, that colour is just too off for me.

Really happy to have the RCAF nmf Voodoo at last. One of the best models in the collection, now for the other two.
