models:

HM HA0164 Douglas A24 Banshee
HM HA2003 Nakajima B5N2 "Kate"
HM HA1202 Avenger TBM 3 "Flight 19"
HM HA2202 SB2C3 Helldiver
HM HA2907 Douglas A1 Skyraider ''with toilet bomb''
HM HA1808 ME BF110
HM HA4201 Douglas A20G Havoc
Corgi PR99413 JU87 Stuka
Dragon 50017 A6M2 Zero
FOV 85031 P40

My WWII collection is growing real fast now. I was suprised about the size of the Avenger and the story behind this infamous flight 19 is quite mysterious.
The Dragon Zero is a very nice addition also, pretty nicely done and no fidly part quite happy with it.

Pictures will follow soon, can't get them on the site right now

Cheers,

Nick.

So this is part 1 of the pictures.
Had to delete some of the older pictures to make room.
Enjoy!

And this is part 2 of the pictures.
As you can see in the last picture my WWII collection is outgrowing my kabinet hahaha.
And quite a few heavy's are on my list.... time to look for a new kabinet.
next model up would be the B17 with the ME109 "A higher call"
I've seen the documentary about the two pilots meeting eachother 60 years later made quite an impression on me.
but also Lancaster, Short Stirling, Halifax, Wellington a Heinkel and a Dornier are on my wish list. Have to rob a bank I guess.

hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Greettzz,

Nick.

Nice set of additions Nick. Thanks for the pics.

How do like that Helldiver? It's one of my favorite HM props.

You're right. The WW2 planes can be very addictive. I'm hoping my A-20 arrives soon. It's a great-looking model.

Thanks for the compliments.
I really like the Helldiver, wasn't actually looking foor one but when I saw it at my local hobbyshop I was sold haha. The red interrior of the flaps is also a pretty cool detail.
The a 20 is indeed a very cool model, the only thing that suprised me a bit was that there were no bombbay doors. besides that is stil an awesome model with the invasion stripes on it.

Thanks for the compliments Mario,
Indeed there is a long way ahead of us before collecting them all haha.
Was quite suprised by the stuka got that one and most of the other additions from modelplaza during their tax free weeks.
Made 2 runs too that place luckily for my wallet it isn't near Rotterdam .
Same problem with the upcomming B17 .

cheers,
Nick.

I tend to stay away from the Corgi WB (WarBird) line as they are fixed with the gear up in flight mode, but that doesn't matter with the Stukas due to the fixed gear. They are a very good deal. The PR (Predators) line is very nice. They are becoming harder to find though. The one you have is a great livery.

I'd have dozens of them if I had the space to display them all.

Those are some sizable additions. They take up a lot of shelf space.

I like Witty's Flanker. Many people have a problem with the misshapen nose and canopy, but I don't have an issue with it. There aren't many modern Russian models available, so I'll take what I can get. They sell out rather quickly as well.

The Corgi He111 looks very nice too. It's an excellent mold and looks very impressive displayed with other WW2 era aircraft. It's hard to assemble though, with all the little machine guns and antennas everywhere. I had to be very careful with mine as the landing gear was very tight and required a bit of sanding/filing to fit. I like that the newer releases come with the black stand. It's much nicer than the silver ones in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing.

hi Scott,

Thanks for the compliments, both model indeed take up a lot of space.... soon I'll be needing a second display cabinet.
I think the Flanker is a very nice model and like u said the aren't many Russian modern fighters on the market.

The He111 is my fourth Axis WWII plane, I like it alot. This is a new release but the stand was still silver, Black stands look better.
The assembly wasn't so hard everthing was already on the plane except the optional gears.

Nick.

Very cool collection.
I like the 1:200 comparisons since that's what I collect.
I wish someone made a 1:400 B52 because that Herpa one wouldn't even fit in my narrow cabinet.
Are those smaller bombers like the B29s 1:400?

Hello ttakata,

Thanx for the compliments. The smaller bombers are in twoo different sizes.
The B29's are 1/200 ande the B17, Lancaster and C47 Skytrain are 1/144.

Thanks for the compliments Tim. And those heavies are quite heavy indeed but the bigger "problem" is the space they need...

I love the CAS Viper also it's a nice model and looks great on a diorama.
Those 1:200 are indeed pocket drainers but it's totally worth the money.

Well a new cabinet entered the office space.
The cabinet is an Ikea Bertby model. It comes with 9 glass plates but I added some more. The biggest model to fit is the F102 Delata Dagger, and for the smaler models like an Harrier two will fit. So 20 models wil fit easily. Very happy with and lots of room to fill

New to my collection

Corgi AA39702A Hawker Hurricane
Corgi AA39503 Short Stirling Arthur Aaron VC
Corgi AA32601 Lancaster "S for Sugar"

The Hurricane isn't that attractive in these colors, but it was flown by a Dutch pilot so it got my attention. The Striling is a very heavy and impressive model I like it alot.
The S for sugar Lancaster is just like the Dutch F104 (HA1030) a model that I wanted to have for al long time. Finally it showed up at ''Marktplaats" a Dutch site that is a bit simmilar to Ebay. The model was in mint condition and neven taken out of the box! the price was also reasonable about €125.

Enjoy the pictures!

Hi Richard,

The pilot was a dutchman who joined the belgian airforce in the begining of the war. Later he was transferred tot the RAF. The flagrante is a remembrance to Thatcher period in the Baf.
