If you want to improve the tooling - the best way is to make a polite comment to Falcon directly. They are aware of the issue and the more collectors that make suggestions - the better chance things will be improved.
Re: Falcon Models Mirage IIIEA Argentine Air Force "Falklands War"
Thanks for the pictures. It looks like the tail surface is too short/narrow. Comments?
By the way, yes, the AAF didn't use Sidewinders during the war.
Misiles in use were:
Dagger (Nesher) and A-4C: Shafrir
M-IIIEA: Matra Magic R-550 and Matra R-530.
Sidewinder AIM-9B were used by the A-4Q from the Navy.
Falcon aknowledeged the fact about the missiles not being correct, but apparently the tooling was too far down the pipe to be modified. The F-1 though will have, according to them, the proper R-550.

If we are talking about the same F 1, yes, is on another thread by AC Pilot, Falcon Models 726001 Mirage F.1C E.C 1/12 Cambrai, "19th Tiger Meet" 1979.
Re: Falcon Models Mirage IIIEA Argentine Air Force "Falklands War"
Hi guys, I have just received the Falklands Mirage III EA and the Australian one. What a dissapointment with the Argentinian one! They got the wrong tail section!
It came with a Mirage III C tail section, while the tail plane has the same shape, it should have been displaced at least 1 cm towards the rear end, as I try to show in the pic. I want to cry! You also can see how it should have look by checking the various profiles and picture in the tread!
I am kicking myself for not paying enough attention to the prepro pictures, but then, even back there I think it was too late. When I suggested puting Matra Magic missiles they answered it was too late, so if it was too late for a missile, it was too late for the whole tail section (maybe).
I hope they never try to make a Dagger after this....

I was hoping that this was just an isolated error.
Unfortunately the Flying Mule has pictures on their website and it shows the same problem.
I have let Falcon Models know about the problem so it won't be repeated.
Re: Falcon Models Mirage IIIEA Argentine Air Force "Falklands War"
Even if they release it with the correct tail section, the intakes still ruin it for me. I would buy it for ~$25 and try to fix the intakes myself, but there's no way I'd pay $55 for such low quality.

(The one in the photo on page 210 is most annoying - it shows the wing panels start at the tank pylon, and extend only half way to the wingtip - another error on my model ). The book also contains the I-002 photo (page 212). this does raise the question of when did the FAA acquire the Peruvian tanks, did they arrive with the Mirage V's or before, as this may date one of the photos?
Perhaps the simple answer is to release the model with the dark brown patches as there's plenty of evidence to base that on, but as per your question, is this something people would want?
James
Hi James, thank you, I have got the book, it is truly amazing, with a number of pictures I haven't seen before. Justto keep with the trend, when back in Argentina in August, I got original editions of two books written by Capitain ( later Commodore) Pablo Carballo, with first hand accounts by the pilots that flew combat missions, with a number of great pictures: Dios y Los Halcones ( God and the Falcons), the title referring to the symbol of the V brigade, that flew A-4B during the war ( Hobby Master A-4), and Falcons over Malvinas. They were later condensed in a single book, Falcons from Malvinas ( Halcones de Malvinas) that benefit form the indsight that times provides, and relates every history with the true target and the results of that mission. Not as great pictures as the original books thought.
I also bought Exocet, the history of Naval Aviation during the war, many interesting pictures of Super Etendard and A-4Q ( new Hobby Master release), plus Sea Kings, Neptunes, Trackers, Aermachi, etc...
