Default Sale at The Flying Mule

Check out some of the sale items at | DIECAST AIRPLANES | Diecast model airplanes from Corgi, Century Wings, Dragon Models, Franklin Mint, Matchbox and other die cast airplane ranges.

Some really great deals on HM Harriers and many others. Add to cart to see some sale prices.

It is sad to see so many of Hobby Master's newer releases on clearance.

I don't mind paying full price for HM products, but seriously... I think they released almost two times more new products this year than in 2010, and 2010 wasn't exactly a slow year. New toolings, tonnes of repaints... it's getting to be a bit of a financial burden.

With my own experience, I just started on this hobby and purchased my first five planes on their website! Nowhere else! Their "free shipping" is an awesome offer which is applied automatically when you reach $50 on a single transaction. It's like buying a Witty Wings model and a stand and there you go...

They have awesome customer service and deals and I assume they've been supported pretty well by returning buyers and this that they're doing sure sounds like THANKSGIVING offer for us, the collectors!!!

I don't think all Hobby Master's being for sale for this much discount will bother the said manufacturer. I'd also like to think that the Flying Mule is putting "the lessened markup" to themselves and not to the manufacturers and the collectors. I guess that really is their way of giving thanks!!!

The sales are great and so is the The Flying Mule. It won't last long so you better get what you want while you can. Just got myself another Sunliner.

The Flying Mule and their service is great, i've bought almost all my diecast from them. I'm glad that I waited for this Black Friday sale and am planning to get a Sunliner as well. Seeing the awesome pictures from SweptWings, i'm pretty sure it's worth getting but a question for people who have this model, any major problems or is the flare thing the only minor problem? will be my first hornet so please do share your thoughts. Thanks!

Thanks on that...

Anyway, from the past discussion regarding that model, yep, you've got those flare dispenser issues, but the biggest discussion that happened back then was the rear landing gear that seem to have an inward angle when you on the plane head-on...

Everything else seem to have gone pretty well...

Here's the link to that topic if you wish to review the said issue again:

Thanks for sale info. I just picked up a HM 1/72 A-26C Invader for half price. This plane has been on my wish list and I just saved $35 on it.

Thanks SweptWings. I've looked through the head on view for every HM hornet with pictures and they all seem to look the same, plus the landing gears do not bother me a single bit.

I was calculating yesterday, you can save some good money, for example, I want these models:

HM F-5 Sundowners
HM F-4 Snoopy
HM F-111 New Hampshire
Corgi Whirlwind

Now, if I buy that here, it would cost me 190 euro's, but shipped from TFM + possible taxes, it would cost me no more then 135 euro's.

Edit - I went to bed and just woke up, Snoopy F-4 and NH F-111 gone

That's something I learned the hard way. If you want something, you'd better get it, because it may be gone next time you turn your head. I missed 2 at The Flying Mule that way.

I'll be packing my lunches next month and no movies, but it's worth it. I really wanted the F-5 Sundowners, but...
1 x CG-AA35805 F-86 Sabre Diecast Model, RAF No.93 Sqn, Jever, Germany, 1954 @ $9.99
1 x HM-HA1955 RF-4C Phantom II Diecast Model, USAF 432nd TRW,11th TRS, "Snoopy - War's Hell" @ $33.99
1 x HM-HA3501 F/A-18C Hornet Diecast Model, USN VA-81 Sunliners, AA401, USS Saratoga @ $34.99
1 x HM-HA2611 Harrier GR.Mk 9 Diecast Model, RAF No.4 Sqn, RAF Cottesmore, England @ $26.99

Sales Tax: $0.00 Shipping: UPS Ground: $0.00 TOTAL: $105.96

Awesome ! I love The Flying Mule !

Even that Gaincorp SU-30 Flanker is on sale at $29.99, but I guess I'll pass on it.

Man, (as I posted in the "what's bugging me thread") my PayPal takes too long to transfer funds and the sale will be over by the time it's complete. I have the cash but no way to convert it into electronic funds in time. I even contacted the Mule about my little mishap, obviously it won't do anything (not knocking the Mule, my number 1 store to purchase from). effing sucks

You can pay by check. I just accidentally did, while looking at the payment options. Select "Check" as payment option, the send it to them within 14 days. Easy as pie as long as it's in US Dollars.

Now should I cancel that F-5 Sundowners, and A-1 Skyraider?

With these insane low prices I had to pick up two more.

1 x CG-AA32212 P-51D Mustang Diecast Model, "Tempus Fugit", William Daniel @ $19.99

1 x CG-AA37504 MiG-29 Fulcrum-A Diecast Model, Russian Air Force Strizhi, Kubinka AB, Russia @ $14.99

Order quickly, because another plane I looked at an hour ago was gone when i went to place order.

With prices this good, I just had to pop on these:

F/A-18C Hornet Diecast Model, USN VA-81 Sunliners, AA401, USS Saratoga
Su-30KN Flanker Diecast Model, Sukhoi Design Bureau, Factory Demonstrator 302
MiG-15 Fagot Diecast Model, Soviet Air Force 351st Aviapolk, Antung, China

The F/A-18C has been on my wishlist for ages and the SU-30KN was too good to pass up, the MIG-15, well I wanted a MIG-15 that wasn't factory fresh silver lol it's also my first Korean War model as well.

I was almost tempted to get the Corgi MIG-29 but even at that price, I still can't get over it's toy like appearence.

I was waiting for a new wave of sales, it might come.. but I already put an order in anyway..

Corgi Junkers JU-52 Norway
Corgi Whirlwind RAF Rescue
HM F-5 Sundowners

and for my father
Corgi Stuka Libiya

My part of the order would cost me, including taxes + shipping 124 euro's, that's the price of a single Corgi JU-52 here lol. If another wave of sales come, I might put in another order.

I just saw the MiG-29 after I placed my order, dirt cheap but not sure where i'd put it.

I was thinking of getting another Su-30KN and F-5N since they were so cheap but decided not to. Su-30 (if you haven't heard already) is a very nice model, packaging is a pain and could result in broken pieces but it turned up fine for me.

I really only wanted the F/A-18C for my Desert Storm collection but like I said before, I just couldn't pass up on those prices.

Wow, blaarontjes and robertjon5 quite the distance.

Have there ever been deals like these before on models lately? I haven't seen anything like this before but that's just me.

I still might pick up the SU-30, if it does not sell out this weekend. Yes, the MIG-29 is colorful, but for $14.99 (70% discount) it was hard to pass up. I was already paying for shipping on the Mustang, so another $14.99 was no big deal.

I wouldn't wait too long. Many other models on sale have sold out or gone back to original price. The sale ends Tuesday, and the Su30 will be back above $50.

I was hoping to see some others rotated on sale, but my credit card is saying it's not designed for this kind of load.

I've already bought three more than I should. I'm working on justifying a fourth. If it gets pulled, then my decision is made for me.

Four models from this Flying Mule sale. I have to figure out also how to get these unboxed and on the shelf without the wife noticing. Earlier this week I had a discussion with her about saving money.

This'll be my 3rd Gaincorp model, already have 2 PLAAF SU-27's, been lucky enough to get them in one peice. $30 for a fairly big model, definitely worth it IMO.

Same, I got the Sunliners F/A-18 to start my Desert Storm collection, only have the Chopper Popper A-10 so far.

Not that I can remember. I've been a long time customer of the Mule, about 6 years now and I've never seen such discounting. Never been anything discounted over 50%
