Yes, when collecting 1:400 I had the original releases and they were brilliant executions of the model! I would have stuck with 1:400, but my aging eyesight found me aggravated trying to see the detail. Didn't want to have to use a magnifying glass like some have to do. I always enjoyed the aviation shows/fairs! Have met so really good people in the hobby and always enjoy seeing them and speaking with them. Well said my friend! I'm glad you recognize my posts for what they are...trying to get a laugh or a rise! We need more of that in this crazy world where some are too easily offended. So true about the old days on DA.C. I was a lurker/reader for the longest time then posted here and there. I took a break for awhile then said what the heck...let me post a little more. I do admit, though sometimes I hold back a little more instead of posting something where I would get major blow back or get banned by my buddy Russ!
Thank you John! That BCAL DC-10 was a major 'grail so yeah, that was the catch of the day! I saw those AA's, but had to let those go. I didn't think they were as sweet as the original ones from years back. All the parts on those were fully polished! The community spirit is what this is all about. That's why I enjoy the model fairs so much, and they've been sorely missed. Your posts are brilliant and always cheer me up. I might not be as "old school" as yourself and many other veteran collectors around here, but I totally get the dry tongue-in-cheek sarcasm and wit Sadly, it seems to go over way over many people's heads on here, beyond max. cruising altitude Once upon a time DAC was like an SNL circuit, the banter was great. Too bad I wasn't around for that.
Hello John, thanks for the heads up, I really appreciate that That's really good to know. I actually just got an order in with Aviation Retail Direct here in the UK, before I read this message. They just added the latest releases within the last hour! I have bookmarked Buchair and will hit them up if I need to though - that's very a handy backup.
Wow!!!!thanks jcahea, perfect and as nice as can be gotten for sure. 777 freedom of space by Phoenix has landed. This guy packs with care for the buyer. Once inside package every piece of tape applied is folded at the end to assist in removal. These details stand out to me being a very OCD kinda guy that just loves tape. Lol thanks so much.
Mine is still intact. Fingers crossed. That's my favorite 757, for obvious reasons. I have lost a couple of sets of landing gear on Gemini 200 757s to zinc rot. The DL widget and an original...Liked On: 06-10-2021, 12:46 PM
