Angry Hobbymaster customer service sucks !

WoW...this Company lack of Customer Service is truly sad ...missing one little piece from a model I bought and to have it replaced they insist on a charge ...hmmm.. your model's are EXPENSIVE enough to purchase , but not being able to supply one small replacement piece and having a email doing a break down of the cost including the cost of the mailing envelope is JUST AWESOME ...NOT !!...How pathetic can a company be ?!! SAD SAD SAD !!

What piece were you looking for? And what was charged by them?

I don´t think it is a bad idea to buy spare parts. I received a month ago an IF200 767-300 from an US seller and one of the main gear was damaged. I am trying to buy another gear but I can´t find it.

I can't quite share your opinion.
To prevent abuse it is understandable for me that HM insists in a minimum charge for shipping.
I was positively surprised that Hobbymaster can provide a replacement in the same color for a broken nose pitot tube on an old F-16 model.
The model is discontinued and so I wondered that they have this spare part in stock.
I haven´t expected it. Especially because it was my fault and they give it for free. I had only to pay the little fee for shipping.
I would wonder if any manufactor have a simular service.

Did you order the model direct from HM on pre-order? If you did then I'd expect the missing piece to be free of charge, but if it was through a 3rd party then I'd expect the charge from HM. Corgi are the same and never had a problem with it.

I have had nothing but positive experiences dealing with William and Hobby Master. Many manufacturers are almost inaccessible, but William always takes the time to respond and address any concerns or questions I may have. In fact, I’d go so far to say that their customer service is among the best.

If you ordered direct from HM, I suspect the piece would have been shipped for free - if it was broken/missing when you received it. If you bought it elsewhere and/or lost or broke a piece yourself.... then why should they have to pay for that?

I didn't know we could order directly for Hobbymaster, I was under the impression it was always through distributors. I did check their website and this confirms this impression.

Do you have a link for direct pre-orders?

don't think you can order direct from HM. I have twice ordered parts from HM. Paid a small charge for both. if you bought model through retailer, you should go back to THEM to sort out. if bought off ebay, again go back to seller you bought it from. apart from that you have to pay. corgi charge as well. a few others do as well. and as said hobbymaster have one of the best service departments out there. William is always willing to help out if he can.
